another example.

In GP3 (and 2) if you drive slow, that is not hitting the rev limiter before changing gears, you will get futher on a tank of fuel.

OK.

We all know this.

OK.

The reason? Well its written in the game that it checks the throttle % and then measure it against full throttle. Thus if you are 90% throttle you have 90% BHP and thus using 90% of max fuel consumption.

Its already written like this in the game. That little engine is already written MORBID.

NOW.

A modern F1 car has a potensiometer that you can even further set the fuel mixture, so that if you set the pot at 90% of full scale and you give full throttle then you'll consume 90%. This is so that the car can run further and also the driver does not have to worry about throttle control to save fuel.

SO.

GP3 measures revs and calcs that against full revs to make fuel consumption calc. Its already done.

Now all you now have to do is put a pot to the screen (which will take probably the most time) and take the percentage of the pot and add it to the ALREADY EXISTENT FUEL CONSUMPTION ENGINE OF GP3 to get the new fuel consumption.

You can now see how easy it is to add, fuel mixture control to GP3. Its just simply another factor multiplied with the CURRENTLY EXISTING FUEL CONSUMPTION ENGINE.

And again,

So you can argument that my other pointers (and there are other I have not thinked about) can be easily implemented, by just adding to the existing code, with little effort.

!!Im not saying they must create linux in GP3 for the onboard computer to run!!

ffs.

You should be telling Mr. Crammond all this, not Morbid. When he approves of your incredible programming code, we'll all bow down and praise you. Until then, we'll assume it's not quite as easy as you're trying to make it sound.

Of course, this being at half throttle thing doesnt work for the thousands and thousnads of people who use a DIGITAL keyboard and can only apply FULL throttle, doesnt it?

Good point there, and the first major flaw. Tut, tut!

agreed good point.

mmmm, well I guess one should look at it this way: If you want a true F1 sim game you really can't expect to drive with a keyboard?

Yes but it's either: True F1 sim and lose a lot of sales. Or: Leave some bits out, that won't take much out of the gameplay, and sell lots more.

Yo Sup

So your all expected to be able to afford a sterrihn wheel that is similar in feel and shape to F1?

Also, this 90% of throttle thing is only one of many many ways the drivers use to run lean. On its own, it prob wont help much, but you have to do stuff like shift earlier, even different lines for more grip etc
