Im trying to put together some historic American racing carsets - starting with the USAC series from 1979, wondered if anyone had any pictures of any of the cars involved? So far I've only been able to find AJ Foyt's Parnelli

Don't you mean CART starting in 1979?
That's the racing series that effectively supplanted the top open-wheel USAC series from 1979 onwards.

The best (and pretty much only substantial and of reasonable quality) collection of photographs of cars and drivers of earlier Indianapolis 500 races can be found at [www.indy500.com] .

No, I meant I will start with the 79 USAC, and then work backwards. As far as I'm aware, CART from 79 onwards is already available

@ drafi5

Is the template just on Paul's site, because I've never been able to find it?

As most all USAC/CART/CCWS/IRL cars have had unique liveries for every single car, usually even for cars of the same team, it would really be nice (and much more realistic) to have these liveries available for GP3/GP3-2k, rather than pairs of cars with the same liveries, as we have now. (And, of course, we could always use better quality cars and tracks.)

The website that I mentioned above is pretty much the only one where you will find any reasonable quality color photographs of USAC/CART champ cars from the early eighties and earlier. If you are interested in black and white photographs from any years or color photographs from later years than 1979, I could direct you to a few more websites.

Thanks for the link Jacki, I am gonna try and do individual liveries for the 'top' 22 drivers from the season - plus maybe some of the extras (i.e. the CART teams that ran at Indy, which was a USAC event that year)

If there are any cars that you might be interested in acquiring any photographs of, that are not on the website mentioned above, it wouldn't hurt to ask.
