I want to try the 'damaged tyres' from marcosgp in gp32k.
Is that possible? How?

@Jacki, maybe you have a clue.

TIA.

I haven't tried them myself.

However, aren't the wheel/tyre graphics files identical for both games?
Depending on what file format the tyres that you're referring to are in, at worst, you should be able to extract the bmp files with a GP3 Jam Editing tool and insert them into the proper GP3-2k files and/or folder with the same too.

Hello!
Sorry, but I only have the original GP3 -- and for this game the Gp3Edit by Steve Young easy install it. [ In Gp3Edit /wheels load the new bmp files]. But i think JackiMatra is right.

i don't think it's possible, because gp32k uses a different file size for the tyres bmp's

As said, I dont known the GP32K. If the files really had different file size could anyone send-me the original GP32K bmp tyres files? Maybe I can do a GP32K version.

Sorry my bad[ bad, bad ] english.

You could get GP3-2k tyre files (and find out if they really are different from GP3 ones) by downloading any of Ralph Hummerich's or The Smoking Pen's GP3-2k carsets (all of which include tyres).

In Gpxpatch it's possible.

Edit the "season" in the GPxSet table. Change de jams for the tyres.

I use the GpxPatch 3.91

It works for me this way:
Use GP3edit to export the tyres into game.
Go to your GP3 folder > Gp3jams > Main: Whblur0.jam,
Whblur1.jam,Whbridg0.jam,Whbridg1.jam
> Gp3jamsh > Techjam: tread00-03, 1ß-13, 20-23, 30-33.bin
treadbs1_art.bmp,treadbs2_art.bmp,
treadgy1_art.bmp,treadgy2_art.bmp
Whblur0.bmp, Whblur1.bmp
Whbridg0.bmp, Whbridg1.bmp

Go to your GP3 2000 folder > Gp3jams > Main:
put all jam.files from GP3 in and rename to
Whblur_FJ04_0.jam....
> Gp3jamsh > Techjam : rename to
Whblur_FJ04_0.bmp, WhblurFJ04_1.bmp
WhbridgFJ04_0.bmp, WhbridgFJ04_1.bmp

new folder FJ2004 with all bin.files
4 tread....bmp.
Use GPxPatch to load the files into game.

I will upload later on my homepage Dunlop tyres for 2k,
the server could be temporary not available sometimes.

Happy racing from Germany !!!

Please check if the helmet files in the ..gp3jamsh\liveries\rh2002\helmets-directory and the helmet files in the gp3jams\liveries\rh2002\helmets-directory are write-protected. If they are not, please enable write-protection by right clicking on the filename and choosing "properties" from the pop-up-menu. ALL helmets files MUST be write-protected.
In GPxPatch/GPxSet > season set > tyres you must set the thread to your Dunlop tyres, then it should work.

Happy racing from Germany !!!

i've tested the carset and it works fine here for me, but i noticed a bug in the DTM2006_season.set file. You have to change these both lines

Jam07=DTM2006\Australia\renault07.jam
Jam08=DTM2006\Australia\renault08.jam

to

Jam07=DTM2006\Australia\renaul07.jam
Jam08=DTM2006\Australia\renaul08.jam

without the t at renault 07 and 08 jam, this could solve your problem

Dunno, i will leave this tyres...

I don´t know how i enable write-protection in the files, i clicked on properties but i don´t know where i click.

my files are renaul07/08,jam already.
