GP3-2000 F1-2005 Carset?

After two and a half years of looking everywhere that I could imagine, I finally managed to buy a copy of GP3-2000, which was never sold in the Americas, and was, therefore, virtually unobtainable here.

As P.K.Arnall finally finished all of his F1 1999-2005 tracks for GP3-2000 I was really looking forward to trying out this game (the only racesim with all the F1 tracks for any season from 2003 onwards in the correct configurations and with the correct objects and graphics), with all of the cars having correct liveries for each race.

However, to my utter amazement, it appears that there actually is not a single complete F1-2005 carset for GP3-2000 for even any single race, much less the entire season, available for download from anywhere! (Calimbo's carsets are in GP3Edit format, and so, apparently for GP3 v1.13 only, which strikes me as being more than a little odd ,as his earlier F1 season carsets were only for GP3-2000.)

Can anyone tell me where I might be able to download an F1-2005 carset with correct liveries for all of the cars for all of the different races, or even just complete tobacco and no-tobacco F1-2005 carsets for GP3-2000?


P.S. I did a search of this forum before posting this, and found not one single reference to an available F1-2005 carset for GP3-2000, but only F1-2005 carsets for GP3 v1.13.

There is no such carset available, JackiMatra. The only one is the belini general
carset 2005, I hope that Paul (The Smoking Pen) or Ilya (PLAY) will release one.

I wanted the same and couldn't find it either.
Could always do what i did and download Calimbo's cars from the 2005 season rounds.I spent a few weeks modifying the bitmaps,got rotating emblems from Play's 2004 set and set it all up in seperate folders for cars and cockpits for each roun,even made up the 2005 tyresets to suit.A lot of work but I'm happy with the results.

I just found it.

Click on Paul Arnall's name in any other of his download listings and it will pull up all the downloads under his name, where you will find the F1-2005 carset listed as being in the F1 cars section and will be able to download it, even though I don't see it there otherwise.

Why not ask the gentlemen whose work you modified if it would be alright for you to make available for download the GP3-2k version that you made for yourself, so that their and your work might be used by a few thousand of the rest of us?

There will be a Smoking Pen F1-2005 carset, although not for some time, and it won't be with every livery - too much work. More likely to be one tobacco and one NT livery, (although Jordan will get 3 - the B&H and the Sobranie, because that was what they ran for Indy), with the first, best result picking the livery. For example, the Renault would be Fisi's from Melbourne, because that was the first race win for Renault.

As an aside, Champ Car 2005 is done and will be released very shortly, if not this weekend. I just have to package the GP3-2000 cars. And I've just finished working out the performance data for IRL 2004....
