Tyres

I've just done a search of previous threads for info on how to edit the tyre wear, and I found that the recommended fix was to edit the magicdata for each track and change the wear values to 55 and 54.

I've tried it on the Argentinian track, but within 15 laps the best I can manage is 2.5s off my best time which I set on lap 3.

I think I changed the data correctly - I used cmagic compiler and changed the data in notepad and inserted it into the track.

Can anyone suggest what I have done wrong or what else I could try?

I have a problem with the tyres on gp3 2k. Seen from the cockpit the tyres show a magenta (red/pink) stripe, but only on the top half of the tyres, which is very distracting. The game runs on a pentium 4, 1024mb, nvidia 6200tc. Have tried different calibrations, put the graphics to automatic and then back to manua, but nothing has helped! Can anyone help me? Thanx!

Use the "search buttom" look for Nvidia6600GT and will find your problem.

Hello,

I searched for this problem too and found no good solutions.
If you open the Tyre Bitmap copy a rectancle from the Tyre and paste it between the tyre surfaces over the magenta colour. You have to do this only on the upper and lower side not on the right or left.
This looks much better as inking magenta to black or grey
