Bahrain help needed

Hi guys

A query!

A while back, I downloaded Belini's Bahrain and it used to work fine. Recently though, it has been crashing a lot. I can complete half a lap before it crashes on me. It happens at Turn 10.

Any ideas?

1. Of you are not already doing so, try to run Gp3 with GpxPatch in debug mode.

2. Change your name to Fernandoalonsoisnumber1

I would suggest you ask SDI but I know what he will say...

"GP3 is not supported by XP"

the only time I've had problems with any belini tracks CTD is when I've used a
carshape using gpxpatch at melbourne. recently been working on 2005 sakhir and
done endless laps with no problems.

Basically, what the log is saying, is that you are having a conflict in the RAM where two processes, GP3 and "whatever" are trying to use the same bit

The "whatever" process could be something vital or it could be one of those countless icons representing things you have on standby in your system tray

kill 'em all!

and then run msconfig and kill everything that starts with windows and check the services and change the non-essential ones to manual instead of auto and basically spend the rest of your life pissing about with windows XP

OR
do what I did and make your box a dual boot system with XP and windows 98 and run GP3 on the 98 system
Or if that's too hard then get a second hard drive and use that for "old" games

I had the same problem with Belini Imola under XP, no problem under 98

BTW I painted a half decent RBR carskin for GP3 anyone interested?

For goodness sake, If you want to talk about the RBR carskin, post it in a new thread because it's got nothing to do with this topic.

Yes, I have this problem too.
But I drive with the onboard-cam I have installend with car-editor. And then the game crashes to desktop. Once I drove a full race with 57 laps and with all drivers. And in round 45 of 57 laps the game had a crash.
Last sunday I drove the race under the same instructions only in cockpit-view, I have finished all 57 laps. The game doesn't had a crash! Althougt I don't start my game in debug-mode, beacause I can't do it.

I've got only 900mhz but a huge harddisk with 160GB and I know, the Bahrain-Track works in my GP3.

The belini-Track works very fine but the Chinese doesn't work in my game.

Now I have an idea! Is there anybody out there who can make the same track whitout these specials like start only in debug-mode, you should have a power pc etc. Only a Bahrain-Track like the other old and new formula one tracks.

Then we can drive these new modern tilke-Tracks with a normal pc like mine.
Because there are a lot of Grand Prix 3 players who want this, I think.

If I could crate my own Grand Prix 3 Tracks, I have these track, the shanghai Circuit, the new circuit in Cancun and the Istanbus Otodrom done myself. But I know, it spends a lot of time.
But what about these tracks? Can anybody make it? Maybe earlier as the formula one drives on these tracks?

Sorry for my English!

Glad I ain't the only one. If I use the TV cam, the game crashes after just half a lap. It crashes when I go round turn 10.

I have a 1.8GHZ with 80GB so I have double the speed of your computer but also half the space on the hard-disk.

I also have the problem with Shanghai not working either. It says on the download page that is requires GP3 magic data. Where to get it from though I don't have a clue.

Always when I download track and try to play it, game crashes. Is there any way to get tracks working in win XP?

I had such problem in different tracks (and in Sakhir's turn 10 too). It was because i had numbers 0 in car numbers positions of the car texture. It happens with modern f1 cars with no side numbers. Just change '0' from left & right from source to for example '1' and it'd be OK!

Well, I tried it. I thought it was cured as I got past Turn 10 on lap 1 but at the same place 2 laps later, the game crashed.

I have to remind everyone that all belini tracks are developed for gp32k
as I don't use gp3 I have no idea whether they will work or not, gp3 has a
track.dat limit of 137k and gp32k 196k.

the only gp3 compatible tracks are:

magny cours
sakhir
shanghai
barcelona (2001 version)
hungaroring (1999 to 2002 versions)
interlagos v1.4 version

all belini tracks use magic data specifically programmed for use with the
belini gp32k slipstreaming physics and grip patch.

I've been working on a new slipstreaming patch the past 6 months which
removes the need to reprogram the magic data for gp32k users who don't
want to use the slipstreaming physics and grip patch.

gp3 users need to extract the magic data with marc aarts cmagic tool and
using textpad convert it to gp3 magic data, then re-patch the track.dat,
I believe it's just a case of deleting some gp32k specific values.

gp3 compatible tracks not yet released
a1-ring
sepang

all belini tracks are tested extensively using all camera views on windows
xp pro with gp32k using original carshape and cameras, all are raced at ace
level 100% race distance with no problems.

nvidia drivers that give a massive improvement in po for windows xp pro are
29.42, but these can sometimes cause crashes, the next best option are the
40.41 drivers, I've tested just about all the versions of nvidia drivers and
it seems that drivers above 40.41 give much higher po.

with 40.41 nvidia divers, I'm getting po values between 27% and 80% under
most race conditions including wet races at 25.6fps, all detail turned on with
a 2.4 amd and gforce 4. to get the best po make sure you aren't connected to
the internet and any firwalls and anti-virus are disabled.
