magic data - track setup - opinions needed

need your opinion on magic data and track setup.

driving gp3 with keys, joypads and wheels it must be very rare that after
downloading a track it's setup for the individual to race straight away without the
hassle of messing with the magic data.

would anyone find it a useful option when setting up tracks if you could alter the
grip of the player car only, to calibrate yourself to the speed of the opposition
without touching any magic data or performance files?

it can be done but sadly for only for gp32k as rene can only implement it
using gpxset on track load and not as I hoped tagged on to the end of the magic data.
If there's enough response I maybe able to persuade rene to include it in gpxpatch.

thanks

pk

I think that every new option we can have is a gain - the more we can adjust or change, the better.

If Rene has time to include it - and if this doesn't mean "more important" projects have to postponed - you should persuade him to do so.

Thank you for all you have done for the community. We owe you.

That would be an excellent utility, it is easy enough to make the CC's lap at the right pace; but setting up your own physics and setup to lap at a certain pace can be painful.

Excellent idea!!!!!!!

pk,

I like this option. Please pursue it.

That is excellent news!!!!!!! It is about the only thing that has been missing, apart from reprogramming. It will make racing full past seasons against the CC's much easier and enjoyable.

Thanks to you Belini, and of course SDI.!!!!!!!

When I have played with this sort of thing in past I always end up with much less straight line speed, and faster than anything else on the circuit through turns. This will hopefully remedy that!!!!!

On a different note.

I find the damage effects better in GP32000, but things must be hit harder to lose wings. And I find it much easier to lose the car to under/oversteer in GP3, which is more realistic, I assume.

Any opinions!!!!!!!

That is good news. As I have been doing a lot of F1 seasons for GP3 done from 1976-1990 seasons) and I have to admit that some of the seasons was a bit too easy like my 1979 season for example. I want to see more challenges on the track and good racing with the CC cars.

Here's the the future with more realism into the GP3 game!
