haven't heard from anyone if the grip patch works or not.

can someone please try it and let me know.

easy way to check is to set the grip value of your car to 6000
(default is 16384) if the patch works you should struggle to get
out the pits.

thanks

Works like hell for me! :) (pardon the expression)
I slide all over the place, even on gravel.

Edit: Seems that few ppl still play GP3. I too am not one of them but I have an old installation on disk so...I hope I've been of some help!

Sorry for the delay!!

I tested it yesterday. It works, for sure!
Now I know how Bruni feels while driving a Minardi ;)

Thank you very much, belini.

The fact of the matter is, I would really like your stuff, but it is all made for GP3 2000, which I don't have. I would also expect the majority of gp3 players don't have the add-on either?

Sorry I can't test for you :-/

I play GP3, because GP4 doesn't work. I struggle with default grip though, so I won't be needing less!

erm I dled it and I don't like the new cockpit, so got rid of that :D - didn't seem right, also I tihnk it is for a 2004 carshape?

Also, the grip thing er it was weird - it didn't seem to do much. I think the turning circle was reduced a bit, but the car seemed more stable. It could be my imagination though. It didn't really seem to do anything, I was getting the same lap times etc.

Also, I had set in GP3 edit, and GPx Patch for power depndant player cars, but when I had installed this, whatever car I was in seemed to have the same power. The ocmputer cars were faster than me, but thats cos I changed it to ace, like you suggested, but I didn't alter the default setup, so they were loads faster.

Er so what exactly is it meant to do - I didn't notice much of a difference in lap times or anything :-/ and whereas before, the little teams had slow cars, now the ones I tried seemed to be about the same with your patch on O_o

Cheers, Daniel

I think the cockpit is the same but the view is a bit lower and closer.

A brief test with the grip patch, took a minardi reduced grip to 10000 but didn't notice any change, but if it work for other I might missed something so I'll try later again.

I can feel the difference between Ferrari (16384) and Minardi (+/- 14200)... not just laptimes, but grip in corners.

Very nice patch :)

glad you like it

been searching for this since gp2 days... could never understand why no-one
was really interested in it for gp4/gp32k.

you will find lower grip cars will understeer especially on full fuel, low
wing settings, it's great fun driving renault 2003, not a great engine but
loads of grip, you'll struggle on the power circuits but monaco/hungary are
a different matter.

another benefit of the patch is career simulations which is something I did
for gp4, great fun progressing your team up the grid.

Yeah, with the defualt 16384 I am competitive in Ace, but how much competitive am I if I, let's say, drive as Webber, or Fisichella? Hope I had time to test a 100% race in different cars ;)

Hmm you can change the grip? How do you do this?

BTW, I am using the 1998 patch cockpit so that probably why I thought your one was weird :D

Oh yes! this patch definitely works 100%, just been sliding at every gear, it turned out I missed to check the car power team dependant at gp3edit

@ Daniel:
Backup your exe
Apply Belini's patch
In gp3edit teams tab, import the settings, choose your driver and move the performance slider to change the grip and export, go to miscellaneous tab and check the car power team dependant, export.
GPxPatch, GPxSet tab check the car power team dependant, enable GPxSet.
Start GPx.

What is "the 1998 patch cockpit" you mentioned and where could I get it.

Check this:

Hernan, what track are you racing on in that photo?

@ Hernan, what so driver skill relates to grip?

I am not actually 100% sure if I ahve a special new 98 cockpit I just assumed I did as someone said this one was based on the default one. I will ahve a look for you later :)

Is that those 1994 and 1988 cockpits that you were working one (or around that era) ?

I'm still working on those cockpits they aren't available yet

the track is my unfinished cart Miami 2003 layout

Daniel I don't understand your question, but I guess that when you change the grip it affects the skill of the driver, try what I said before with a low (8000) grip value (change both qualy and race/practice) and you'll feel it.
And yes those are the cockpits.

btw anyone knows how to edit the tread...bin files I would really like to see the real slick tires on external view
