gp3 2000 car setup screen

In gp3-2000 you know it gives you default setup for each track a basic one. How do you actually alter that setup. What i usually do is start of with that one in the practise and then find out what adjustments need to be made problem is i only just figured out that when you go to select use own setup it is not the same setup as the default one it gives you does anyone know where or if there is a folder with the default setup up gp3-2000 provides..

ps. How do the rest of you go about setting up your car for the weekend. I personnally hate downloading setups from internet it spoils the fun of tweaking the car and then going out and improving by a couple of tengths.
