I recently bought Grand Prix Legends a couple of weeks ago, just to familiarise myself with the old Nurburgring circuit...and after a few days of playing it, I can see why everyone keeps commenting on how dangerous it is, and how phenomenal the size of the circuit is. Bloody hell, the first time I thought the track would never end!

Has anyone bought GPL, or played the proper full-length version of Nurburgring? I tell you what, if a GP3 version can be created, it would be incredible!

I was thinking, the limit to the size of tracks has been well documented in the old forum, I was thinking, would it be possible to change the track limit variation in the GP3.exe file, and change the value from 8.5 Km (or whatever it is) to 22.85 Km, or is it the amount of processing power needed that restricts the size of the tracks....if GPL is able to load circuits that are 22-odd kilometres in length, surely it should be possible for GP3 to do it as well.

GPL code has definitely a different structure than GP3-code has. If it was that simple (I mean just do a little change somewhere in the exe-file) I bet the good people out there would have done it already. Unless ... for some experts the obvious is sometimes hidden.

But you are right. Nürburgring Norschleife is monster of a track. AND: imagine to drive in a car without all these safety arrangements and areodynamical devices modern F1 cars have. Just a little bit of sheet metal between you, the aspahlt and certain death. PLUS GPL itself is one of the most difficult racing games I have ever expirienced. I have never really been as good in it as I have been in GP3.

(Hey, this QUOTE feature is great. Promises to be lotsa fun, hehehe ... )

G'day all..

Yeah, this quote button is very evasive. I went to bed last night thinking I was nuts simply cos I was certain there was a quote button next to the post button, but then I couldn't find it again.

I seem to recall Alex suggesting he had a quote button once..... it seems to be a very tempramental thing!

I think I have found the solution - for some reason, this QUOTE button only seems to appear when you have it on "Threaded View" - then when you change to "Flat View" (much preferred by most I think) it disappears. It's odd, because it's a very useful feature.

You're right. This is cool :D! But why not in flat view? huh.... :(
I prefer flat view too, because i can see all posts at a time.
[this time i'm just checking it]

lol that [sig] thingy.... hehe.... that was automatically .. sorry Alex :p

Its probably because in threaded view you select the exact post, you cant select the exact post in flat view. As this forum has no
Quote

bla
option, its only available in threaded view :';(
