Welcome to the froum, fatoldsun2002 (what a weird name :|)

For updates you should have a look at the grand prix 3 download section of this website, grandprixgames.org, or do a search on the forum.

I think there still isn't a complete season 2004 update available, since the season is still running and nobody knows if liveries or drivers will change, etc. You can download carsets for the races that already have taken placem, I think. Just have a look at the link above under "Season Packages"

The main differences between Gp3 and Gp3 2000 are that the latter has

- opponent sounds
- damage collision with debris
- more detailed tracks
- season 2000 instead of 1998
- the possibilty of having two different liveries for one team (good for Cart seasons)
- 17 tracks instead of 16
- slightly different/better car handling

In order to install Gp3 2000 you need to have the original Gp3 CD in your drive. Take care, Gp3 2000 does not install if your original Gp3 is from the USA. there is, however, a fix available that allows you to install Gp3 2000 without Gp3.

And there are some issues with GP3 2000 and editors though.

however virtually all the carsets made are for gp3 (not 2000) same for the tracks.

"- opponent sounds"
You have these in GP3 also when you use GPxPatch.

"- more detailed tracks"
Almost all of which will work in GP3 also.

"- season 2000 instead of 1998"
There are many many more carsets for GP3 than GP3-2k, including the 2000 F1 season.

"- 17 tracks instead of 16"
With GPxPatch, you can have as many track as you like in either game.

"- slightly different/better car handling"
Both games use the same sort of physics files, and you can use whatever physics you want, so this is completely irelelevant.

"however virtually all the carsets made are for gp3 (not 2000) same for the tracks."
True about the carsets, but absolutely all GP3 tracks will work in GP3-2k while there are a very small number of GP3-2k tracks that either will not work at all in GP3 or will only work with some problems.

Found a neat way of putting GP3 carsets into GP3-2000. If you export the carset to orignial GP3 in GP3-Edit, then go to carset creator, inport from GP3, and then export it straight to GP3-2000. Works a treat and takes about 2 minutes to update both games!

I think he just comes across as always pissed off with people, and in fact he isnt....we're all different on these boards than we are in real life I guess, you can misplace one letter or comma, and you look angry, when in fact you're far ffrom it :)

About GP3-2000,i was(actually i am ;))pretty down to buy it, despite the huge cost when converting to my currency (1uk pound about R$5,60(Brazil)).But, i have some questions: does opponent sounds works in the same way when playing both games trough GPXPatch?Does it is worthful to buy GP3-2000 only to have whole pitcrews individual liveries and individual liveries for the cars?About the language thing, my gp3 is brazilian portuguese,so how this GP3-2000 language or installation fix works?

I wouldnt worry about getting GP3 2000, gpxpatch gives you everything except the 17th track option, so leave it imo.
