Anyone want a helmet template?

Hey there

Because it's such a hassle to design helmets, I've come up with a template if anyone wants it. It basically works on two images...one is a background and one is a foreground with details.

*takes a deep breath*

You design your helmet on "Image 1" and can even put a face in if you wish. You then shrink the whole image by 20% and copy this over to the background layer in "Image 2". This will give your design items such as air inlets and if you put a face on your design then it will be shaded into the visor to make it look realistic (ish, lol).

Here is the helmet you have designed and with the face of your choice in the middle:


And here is the template you put over the top of your design:


When both are brought together and when all 9 planets are in line you get this:

Nice man, I just think it will take time for the planets to realign

i'm sure the planets wont mind if you try anyway, lol. A good tip though for designing helmets...start off with a file 5 times bigger than what the actual bmp needs to be. That way when ya size it down it looks more realistic.
