2003 carset for GP3-2000 released!!

Hallo Play,
first of all thanks for your work. I load down your carset and it works very well. I made myself a teamart for it based on Brian Sinclairs one (only for my own use). Many thanks again to our friends from Russia for the carsets for GP3-2000 (Play, Natazone). I hope you will continue your work.

After download it I started some races. Here is a short list of bugs/suggestions.

1. Japan - Ferrari, BAR, Jordan cars don't load.
2. Helmets - After driver changes, Toyota drivers helmets and Minardi drivers helmets need to be changed round.
3. BAR - NT Britain isn't correct, it's half the French version half British version.
4. Williams - No Budwiser on upper chassis at British GP and after.
5. Renault - Alonso has new Japan version at USA.
6. Transparency - Jordan and BAR barge boards should be transparent and not black.
7. Jaguar - No T3 British version.
8. Tyres - Michelin grooves aren't wide enough.

Originally I did think that there were more bugs than there actually was, because you have ignored Belgium and got a default set in slot 17.

Sorry if it sounds like I am complaining too much.

When you have fixed those little bugs, I'll happily download your carset. One question, though. How do I install it? GP3-2000 doesn't use GP3Edit, so, how is it done?

Also, how/where can I update the carshape to the 2003 spec?

I mainly play GP3, as that is easy to patch/update, but I think it's time to start experimenting with 2000, now.

Its very interesting to upgrade GP3-2000 my installer copying my jam-files in different GP3-2000 directories, where the standard files placed, but not overwrite them. For corect work needed config-file for example "2003.set", it must contain all information about new files (path and many others), with set-files we may configure ALL 17 races. You need to download any good GP3-2000 carset to view the folders and files structure (unpack them into any other directory). Ralph Hummerich has great carsets for GP3-2000 for 2001 and 2002 seasons.
For editing jam you need Jam-Tool 2000.

Erm...ok. So, your carset will download the files into set directories and I have to do....things...Did I mention, that I'm a newbie to all this?

I'm fond of your last message, that you are working on a megapatch GP3-2000. At the end of your messages there is a sentence"fan of GPx". So, are you developing your things only for GPxPatch?? That would be great, because I can't work with others e.g. GP3edit, Carsetcreator2000 etc.
I hope the megapatch 2003 will be finished soon, I'm sorry, but I can't help you to do it!

Hang on. Does GPxPatch work with GP3-2000 season?

Yes, it works perfectly... Only GPxPatch give a chance to use different cars for all 17 GP's... 2 cars for every team for every race!!! Totally 22x17=374 cars for full season

Why hasn't anyone made a GP3-2000Edit (like GP3Edit) yet? It would make it easier for novices like me to mod.

I admit, I like the sound better and the graphics are slightly better, but, then, I haven't spent that much time playing it - yet.

There isn't GP3-2000Edit because GP3 uses standart jam-files such as stewa98.jam, willia98.jam and others... In GP3-2000 you may add your files with new configuration file (gpxpatch needed to apply this config file to the game). Game maybe transformed in any season by 2-3 clicks in GPxPatch. game may contain a lot of carsets without replacing of any files (such as original jams). You may PLay in 2003 carset, then in 1975 only with GPxPatch (GPxPatch=>GPxSet=>Season Set) without any changes in structure of jam-files!!
