I just downloaded the GP4 (adapted by Kev Bell) visors adapted for use in gp3 with gpx patch.

They're great.

Does anybody know if anybody is making a 2003 version oh the visors?

If not, does anybody know how to make them?

Glad you like them my address is k.r.bell@lineone.net. Making 2003 visors will be easy as I just use Viper's GP4 visors(with permission!) and modify them for use with GPxCinfo. I'll add it to my list of things to do!!!

@Supersonic - I won't do this as everything is set on my system to 1024x768 and tying to get it to suit everyone's system is a real pain. Have you tried resizing the .tga's in the pack to 800x200? Or setting the dimensions in GPxCinfo? Worth a try! There are a lot of other issues here too - for example some graphics cards won't support images 1024x1024, some won't display images that are not to the power of 2. Try what I've suggested and let me know the results please :-)

So here I go :)

Well, misteriously now it's working in all resolutions, without any editing process. BUT I have a HUGE P.O. increase, something around 20 or 30%!!!
So I had to stop using these great visors :(

See ya

@SuperSonic if you run in 800x600 it may be worth resizing the images as GPxPatch is really busy trying to resize the images rather than just position them. Also a few guys had huge PO hits with my track overlays which mysteriously vanished. Keep persevering mate!

I was one of those! I had GP3 running in 1024x768 and got a massive PO hit (800-900%) with the track maps. Dropped the resolution down to 800x600 (the game, not the maps) and the increase is at a maximum of 130% now....weird.

Sorry for not replying - I've been away for a few weeks. I haven't forgotten this but with my work I'm away quite a lot so please bear with me. It may take some time.

Thanks for your patience guys - I'm just uploading the 2003 set(Late season) as I write this. One little change I've made from the 2002 set is the use of only one .ini file. Okay, the effect of being able to open and close your visor is taken away but this allows you to free up a cinfo slot. Hope the wait won't be too long!

Great, I cant wait to use them.
Thanks again for making them.

I didnt know why they were two .ini files so it doesnt make a difference to me.

The original set had 2 .ini files. One was for the upper half of the helmet and the other for the lower part, to enable you to manually remove the upper portion to simulate raising the visor while in the pits.

To Kev,
thanks for your great work, I use it your way for GP3, GP3-2000 and GP4.
For my own use I modified the jaguar.tga (yours looks like the blank.tga)
and added an Arrows.tga for my 11 th team. It is reall great driving with
the visor set ! If someone could make the GP4 style T-cam view....
Happy racing from Germany !!
