Hi all,

Could someone please tell me what happens if I lower or higher the following settings in the magic data files:
- track grip
- ride height
- air resistance
- fuel
- tyre wear
- grip
- fuel consumption 1
- fuel consumption 2?

Many thanks.

I dont know about all of them so I'll tell you the ones I do know.

trackgrip- Increase value to have more track grip. Applies to player and CC cars. I usually use this to get lap times accurate.

tyre wear- Increase value to have less tyre wear for player and CC. I'm not 100% sure about this.

fuel consumption1 - fuel consumption for player. Lower value to have less consumption, inrease to have more.

fuel consumption2- fuel consumption for CC cars. Lower value to have less consumption, inrease to have more.

I guess you have do decrease tyre wear to have less tyre wear.

Increasing fuel also gives you less fuel consumption. Seems like the old GP2 "Fuel Load"

I'd like to know about this other settings:

desc9=hard tyre
desc10=soft tyre
desc11=>= 50 tyretype 1 else 0

desc23=subtracted from diff between field_e2 of 2 cars and then compared to speed of first car

desc25=added to car.field_108. related to cc grip factor

desc36=segment count, range 1 to 256
desc37=sectors to pit in 1
desc38=sectors to pit in 2

desc42=cc shuffler???
desc43=a segment nr before which flag 0x80 in car.flags_ce is not cleare

desc46=helps decide if a tyre set needs changing? (dword!)

desc50=segment nr (start of some range)
desc51=segment nr (end of some range)
desc52=another perf factor

desc91=bump factor
desc92=bump shift

I'm using those magic data files a lot.

Thanx

With that little CMagic program you can extract the Magic Data from the track file, you can also download magic data files. For editing, just open it in a text editor, like notepad.

Hi boys: the easiest way to edit Magic Data is using
Magic Data File Creator, by Reinier Tetteroo . It's available at gp4.gamers.nl/gp3/download_utils.html

RRRemeeeediooo, I know Im right in decreasing the fuel consumption value because i've done it many times. About the tyre wear value, I have read in this forum that you have to increase the value for less.

chrislewis, when I said fuel, I was talking about desc22=fuel??? setting, and not fuel consumption. Hagar asked about them both.

About Tyre Wear, I'm not sure anymore, but I always get the effect I want.

I'll try this Magic Data File Creator. It probally has the answer.
