With less than a month to the season kick-off in Melbourne, and the cars crashing all over the place in last gasp test sessions, my F1 withdrawal symptoms could not be stronger... I am shaking all over, gasping for air, and breaking out in cold and hot sweats, every time I log on to www.itvf1.com and www.f1-live.com and see a new car launch or pics from a test session...

The Saubers are looking very strong, Frentzen has a drive and Jos is out, the Jordans and Ferraris cannot stay on the track, Juan Pablo and Ralf are bitching over the new Williams chassis although the engine (as always) is very strong...

Which tracks will provide the best thrills and spills *drool* Who will be champ? Who will be runner up? Who will disappoint? *Gasp*Who will crash? *need medication* Will the whine and roars from the engines be just as good as last year?

So many questions!! So long to the new season, ARRGHDGhJFUAFGU!!!!

I can´t take it anymore!!! Start the season NOW, or I will DIE!!

Or maybe YOU, yes YOU, can help me survive until the start of the new season...

Who do YOU think will win the championships?

Drivers Championship:

1)
2)
3)

Constructors Championship:

1)
2)
3)

HEEEEEEEELP MEEEEEEEEEEE, PH - PUH - PUH - PLEEEAAAASEEEE!!!

hmmmm it's a tough one, this season will be a full on stoush :-), I wouldn't want to say who could or couldn't win, all of the top teams are in the running to take the title. I will make a prediction that this season will be a really good one, with the points leaders for both driver and constructors changing hands several times. Minardi will do pretty well also, Go Aussie Go! Anyway roll on Melbourne, I'll be taking my digital camera and uploading pics of the local talent etc. to my ftp site each day. Does any of that help ya out Morbid ;-) hehehe

Calm down Morbid! Let's put it this way, as I write this post, there are about 500 hours to go until the 2002 F1 season kicks off.

THAT IS JUST 500 HOURS MORBID! THAT'S NOT VERY LONG! Anyway...

Drivers' Championship:

1) Michael Schumacher
2) Juan-Pablo Montoya
3) Giancarlo Fisichella (optimism is everything :)

Constructors' Championship:

1) Ferrari
2) Williams
3) McLaren

"Will the whine and roars from the engines be just as good as last year?"

Unfortunately not :( Remember that awesome scream that came from the McLaren exhausts last year? Almost V-12 like? Well, we shall not hear it again, for McLaren have adopted the Ferrari-like exhaust system whereby the exhaust is issued through the gap in the rear wing rather than from under the car like it was in 2001. Still, that doesn't mean to say that F1 cars don't sound awesome anyway! One of the greatest sounds I have ever heard was on a cold damp but bright summers day in 1997, when I was stood at Priory at Silverstone during F1 testing. At approximately 9:30am, the sound of Johnny Herbert's Sauber V10 engine broke the morning silence and cut through the air like a knife. The shrill scream I shall never forget. The first time I heard a modern Grand Prix car :)

Oh man, that sounded awesome, when you get to hear it real life, its simply mindblowing.
you can get a quick snippet every now and again on the tv coverage, but you cannot beat the real life noise,

bummer :-(

G'day all..

Carlos Sanchez shall win this year. Or was it 1991, when they didnt have the official teams in Gp1?? Oh well.

Cheers

(PS - To have any idea what I'm talking about you need to have been a Grand prix'er since the first one came out in 92';)
