No FFB on my G29 - What do?

Hey, so the title says it all basically.
I got a Logitech G29 recently (actually at the beginning of the year) and I got everything to work in GP3 - even the clutch pedal!
The only thing that keeps me from enjoying it as much as I enjoyed it with my G27 is ... the lack of Force Feedback.
I know the G29 uses another software compared to the G25/27, as it uses Logitech Gaming Software instead of the old Profiler, but is there a way to get the FFB drivers to pick up commands and data from the old GP3 games?
The same issue might apply to GP32K and GP4, but i haven't tried those yet.

Currently my GP3 settings are "Enabled, 50% strength, Wheel does not pull left".

Thank you all for any help!

bump

So, does nobody know how to fix the utter lack of FFB in Grand Prix 3/GP32K? Or would it require some sort of file patch?

bump again

I'd love to know if anyone else has had that sort of issue and if so, have you managed to solve it?

I never used Logitech.

And I never used forcefeedback beause the wheels I can buy are so cheap.

But I think GP3 does not works quite well with new wheels. Im my case all whells was recognized as "vibration whell" or "standard joystick with pedals".

Good luck with this.

P.S. if you decide to give up the wheel due to this, I can accept your donation. (H)

Make sure the wheel is set as the first device in the game, and the pedals are second. If they are the other way around then you won't get FFB.

Have you tried turning the in-game FFB up to 100%? And are you configuring the controls properly?

I'm using the very same settings I used on my G27, which had working FFB in-game - So unless you got an idea to make the FFB commands that GP3 sends out compatible to whatever the G29s interpreter is, my answer is "yes i've done everything properly"

Could try a virtual joystick like vJoy?

That may work and may as well be one good solution to try and use VJoy and just circumvent that problem but my experience with VJoy has always led to me completely re-installing every single device driver on my system, so I'd rather not use VJoy anymore, sorry.

I also have a Logitech G29.
It works well with GP4 but I have the same issue with GP3: no force feedback.

So maybe it is a common problem of this device.
I don't know if there is a solution, the two games apparently have exactly the same settings options.

same problem here.

10 years using an G27 and everything works perfect on GP3.

But with my new G29 wheel the FFB never works. Everything apart works 100%, the wheel, the pedals... everything. but no FFB at all with te G29.

This might help anyone that's having the issue, ymmv.

I just experienced this issue with gp3, and gp4 ( I am using a G29 ) . It appears it might be an issue with DirectInput enumeration order. I never had ffb in gp3, but it was fine in gp4, then yesterday it stopped working. I noticed that my controller was no longer listed as controller "A", but was controller "B". I unplugged all other gaming devices and rebooted windows, now the controller shows up as "A" again, low and behold ffb returned in GP4, and when I tested gp3 I now have ffb there also!

It appears that GP3 and GP4 will only output ffb to the first controller.

Also there is an app for that, search for:

devreorder
"The main use of this tool is to bring some sanity to older DirectInput games that rely on the enumeration order of devices to determine the controller order in game"
