Have you tried to introduce some “opacity effect” on the helmet graphics, so that when they overlay on some angles they could look as if behind the windows?
Just an idea may improve visual... by the way your work is amazing, thank you very much!

Long time back I remembered I darkened the helmets bitmap and exported it to the game...: [www.mediafire.com]

Perhaps worth a try

Well, I have supposed the helmets visible is rather preferable in case you watch the race playback ( if you use various divers, for example ).
But there is a simple way to remove them at all if you run through the GPxPatch, and no helmets would be seen ))

Thank you! I will give a try this weekend, or perhaps remove helmets entirely.
It is very nice you still keep this old but entertaining game alive.
