A new topic for posting/discussing my next projects and feedback

The '77 Mosport track , as part of the 1977 trackpack, is available for download here. [www.grandprixgames.org]
Its not perfect, but fast......and furious

Could also be used in the 1976 megapatch without overwriting any files.

Hi Dirk

I just tried out your Mosport track. FANTASTIC WORK !!!hot;)

I did not expect it to be so detailed. I love all the pit area details and the horizon with the city in the distance. Great atmosphere.

The track itself is a real roller-coaster. On my first lap (as James Hunt in my '76 MegaPatch) I managed to hit Ickx at the hairpin an roll his car over. Ohh dear! Hunt the Shunt strikes again.

Thanks for your hard work. I know many people will really enjoy this one. There won't be many tracks in the '76 and '69 packs that have not been improved to this level. It makes such a big difference.

Cheers!!

Elio

My current work load ...

F1 1994, 1976 and 1969 - improving jams where possible, to better match track adverts etc.

Once Ettore releases his F1 1987 track pack, I will add these to my 1987 MegaPatch and re-release it. This also allow me to move forward with my F3000 1989 MegaPatch. This features Alesi and Donnelly at EJR, Lehto and Irvine and Pacific and Comas with Bernard at DAMS. I have made about 50% of menus and the carset, but a lot of work to do. Might be ready for Christmas.

I will also use the '87 track pack to improve F1 1991.

After that, the priority will be a CART 1998 megaPatch (about 30% complete) and perhaps a GT 1997 MegaPach using the close cockpit interior and Ferrari F40 carshape. I would prefer to make a Group C ('80s and '90s Lemans) megapatch, but this would require someone to make a suitable carshape. That is one of my greatest wishes.

Happy racing!

Elio

I agree with Elio, it's a great update you have done (Y).... Nice to see older real tracks brought to live once again...:-) Perhaps this track can be used as a base for an American IMSA modern track version..??

Fantastic, Dirk!!!

I need to put virtual PC with XP to try to load game. If I get this, I'll continue to update some adverts on fictional tracks.

Hi all !!!!

I say the same... " it's a great update you have done (Y).... Nice to see older real tracks brought to live once again..."

It is not necessary to remake a complex new track, just a simple change in the look makes all the difference... it's just a matter of making even better what already exists...

very very good....

I am curious as to why the BF Goodrich logos on Jam 'bridge_goodrich' do not show up in the game. Is the flag marshal post by the startline not added yet but the Jam made?

See: [f1.imgci.com]

Cheers!

It's exactly what I ask, some weeks ago, for Dirk.

He made Silverstone 2015 version. I suggest him to update graphics on Belini 2009 (old layout) and 2010 (new layout) versions and he said me how to put 2015 objects on 2009-2010 tracks. If I have time, one day, I'll make this.

Because GPxPatch 4.44 (and 4.43, 4.42, 4.40...) crashes my game when I use his tracks! :(

Only problem is when track layout changes, like Interlagos (pit lane)...

The file has been replaced, so please download it again.

Because GPxPatch 4.44 (and 4.43, 4.42, 4.40...) crashes my game when I use his tracks! :(

Rodrigo, did you ever tried 4.24? as long as you can set the track distance at 10km, the track will load. (option available since 4.20)
Off course, i don't know what is causing the crash at your machine....

Hi...

GPxTrack

Link: [rsdi.home.xs4all.nl]

Max. track length. If you use a custom track beyond the standard track length limit of around 8 km (1650 segments), extend the maximum length to 10 km (2048 segments) or 20 km (4096 segments). These lengths include the pit lane. This is still an experimental feature, so use the smallest value needed for the selected tracks (8 km is the unpatched maximum length).

option available since 4.20 - 05 Jun 2013 4.20 - link: [rsdi.home.xs4all.nl]

GPxTrack: Added option to extend maximum track length from ~8 km to ~10 or ~20 km. World limit of 2.5 km square still applies though.

I read somewhere that when DAT files are larger than a certain size then should change 8km to 10km or even 20km.

HERE IS.... The dat.file limit is 137 kB for 113

Nordschleife track has 137KB and it is a classic example..... ( 8Km to 10Km )

Belini Track Pack is the same.....

I will continue looking for this information....

Guys, only to tell you: I can't play GP3 at the moment. I'll try to install Windows 10 and, after, put Virtual PC and test game!! If I get it, I can help all of you again!!

But at the moment I can help you with adverts! Please, contact me if necessary!
