SOCHI TRACK?

I cannot find a sochi track. Someone help me?

thats because there isn't one.
I've been working on it quiet a while but i lost interest in the actual F1 tracks and got back into the retro tracks and other projects.

I can assure i will catch up on Sotchi but please be patient, I'll release a beta track (season 2015) in a reasonable time.

What great news Dirk, nice to have some fine updates in the pipeline.....

Those '76 tracks would be fine for the 70's MODs....

And that Bathurst will be worth waiting for...

As I found out that IndyCar series should visit Road America in 2016 I worked a little bit on the updated track by Zieli...

I wouldn't call it an update but more adjusted for IndyCar with Indy sponsors, marshalls etc etc.

First of all congratulations for the good work.

I did the installation of the track that you provided "Road America in 2016", but before I installed the version of Zieli ( Elkhart Lake update.rar ) at [www.grandprixgames.org]

I saw that your track needs to use the JAM of this version... not all...

But I'm having a problem right on the main straight. I see the pit and advertising signs are cut ... what can it be ?

THE PROBLEM WAS SOLVED - THIS OCCURS WITH ME IN SLOT 4, TESTED WITH ANOTHER SLOT ( NUMBER 3 ) AND ALL IS OKAY NOW !!!!

I am afraid that I do not have that problem. All seems right here.
But I remember that the problem has been discussed before in another tread, I think it was the Paul Richard track (not sure).

And yes, you need The updated Elkhart Lake from Zieli to run this update. (perhaps install the Zieli update first and then the Indy update)...

Just a quick thought or two for some additional GP2 conversions?

Belini tracks:
Porciuncula
Szenichring
Zuiderzee
Ambleside
Agua Azul
Lisas Terras

Marc Aarts did conversions of Bandon Park, Leon-Castille, Soume Yemick, Tsarskoye Selo, Rideau Falls and Yamashita Park but all could do with a bit of an update, they were very primitive in terms of jams and immersion.

Your Matarka Park Dirk was really good.

John Edwards tracks:
Oakham Park
Mount Pioneer
Motta San Giovani

I think all the above would be great with retro style 70s & 80s ad's etc. Very happy to do some advert sourcing if this helps the concept.

Maybe i can upload a track pack with some gp2 conversions when some are done.

remove the "show pit scenery 2" command in the last track section.
sometimes this command works correctly, sometimes it doesn't

No it wasn't me with Szenichring. Its a good idea to have a single thread for new tracks etc though.

I have no knowledge to move with this information, but I will try according to your tip.

Sometimes it's good experience these problems and especially those who have to teach us, so we learn a little more to the next.

Hi guys

Can I suggest something that might be of interest to all users and is not difficult but just requires a bit of work(graft).

I would be happy to use the Jam Tool 2000 to change various horizons. Essentially I will change one horizon with another using the correct jam name. If you use the sizes Belini did for his tracks its very easy.

If this is the case it will be very easy for users to switch jams as long as you back up. A few seconds to change a track jams.

Just a thought - let me know. I will be a few days because I have to re-format my hard drive (for Windows XP).

I made two new test and find out the following:

1 - I put the track in a new slot (now 3) and everything worked ... The problem occurs in slot 4.... I do not know if other slots is the same problem ...

2 - I did the suggested procedure and removed "pit show scenery 2" command in the last track section, I tested in slot 3 and 4 and it worked out ...

the procudere was...

1 - open the track "Elkhart Lake_113_Indy_update.dat wit Track Editor
2 - click on + "Track Data(464)"
3 - at the last sub item "[463] len=1 ang=0" click on + ( it will show the sub item "? [0xd8] Show Pit Scenery 2" )
4 - click on it and with the right button of the mouse, choose cut.... the item will be removed...
5 - at Principal Menu, SAVE AS.... give a new name track... ready !!!!

I did this.... is it okay ?????

evandro, you did well, but now you should insert the MD data again.
Once you've saved the dat, the MD will be gone, nothing you can do about it.

These cmds may be slot related, as i had the same problem with my ricard 1976 update and Eric and me figured out it had to do with the slot.
One of the mysteries of gp3 .....

I agree, reinseht magic data and everything should work
