I'm fine with the proposed changes should they be made.

Probably some random performances will spice things for the better.

Rod it's your series, the last word is yours!

The only things that I don't like are the bonus points.

So, I'll open a poll. Put "question" number and YES or NO. Yes means change. No means maintain as actual!

1- For teams, if all of you agree, I can divide points on this way:

Teams that finished on 1st, 2nd or 3rd on S9: 820 BHP
4th, 5th and 6th: 818 BHP
7th, 8th, 9th, 10th and 11th: 816 BHP

Yes or no???

2- Points for most-gained positions. Only for full races. Yes or no???

3- Boosts: for drivers and teams.

DRIVERS FOR GPGSL-3 S10
200 BHP of each order.

Drivers who scores more than 200 points on S9: 5 orders
Between 100 and 199 points: 6 orders
Less than 100 points: 7 orders

TEAMS
Limited by 5 BHP for race (team manager can require only 1 BHP for a race, for example, but never more than 5).

Teams that finished on 1st, 2nd or 3rd on S9: 20 BHP
4th, 5th and 6th: 25 BHP
7th, 8th and 9th: 30 BHP
10th and 11th: 35 BHP

Extra boost can't be required on 1st, 2nd and last three races. Members that not send me, I'll put boosts aleatory (the same for all that not send me).

Yes or no???

4- Ability range: I have an idea to use all historic performance to determine range. 1st driver on hall of fame gains 5 AR, 2nd, 10 AR... and so on and on. I considering only actual 22 drivers. Yes or no???

5- Pits stops: I can put none pits on Sprint and 1 pit on Full. Yes or no???

1: Yeah, I like the idea though we'll have to see it in action in order to judge it properly.
2: Yes.
3: No. The thing is, in GPGSL we decide boosts judging from AI errors and rain chance. Posting those values beforehand might help. But still, sometimes you have a good run of points and don't want to waste the boost, or sometimes you are getting caught and need it urgently. I don't think deciding the boosted races from the beginning is the solution. However, I like the idea of having boosts, we only need a simple and fair system.
4: Yes. It helps realism by creating a sort of "experience".
5: Yes, definitely. I'm willing to sacrifice race length if it helps you carry on the series.

As always, thank you Rod for everything you do for this series. :-)

1- Ok

2- I don't care, but it will make more work to you so does it worth it ?

3- Yes, but... :
- there was an idea of sending boosts at the beginning of the season for the whole season and I'm not ok with it (I don't see it in the poll and I think it is this one Carlitox is refering to). Boosts should be sent on a race per race basis because we can't say beforehand when we will need boost in regard of our rankings or so.
- No aleatory boosts : if someone doesn't want to send boost it's up to him, and also it could be a way to penalize ghost teams/drivers without being too harsh with them.

4- I don't understand how works Ability Range, so do what you want :)

5- Yes

And congratulations to Carlos for his title. Well deserved mate :)

1- any (yes if you want)
2- yes but need to fix some tracks and MD to prevent destruction derby.
3- doesn't make sense. According to the performance in op the gap between first and last driver is around 100 points. A 200 points boost will cause the grid a lmp vs gt conditions. 3-4 boosted cars too far ahead and the rest too far behind. kills the race.
4- don't know, if the increment is constantly 5, with bigger values you create another hole in the grid.
5-any (yes if you want)

Point 3
An idea to make boosts worth could be deciding before the season the track modifiers, in example:
- a medium track has no modifiers than base perf for each session
- a fast track has 2x failure chance than base perf for each session
- a street/road track has 2x failure chance + 3x ability range than base perf for each session
- a slow track has 2x ability range than base perf for each session

Then the managers have some tokens to spend only for 1 race (you decide how many of each token we have) and with drivers we can arrange the usage
- no token applied/communicated = no changes
- a risky token +6hp but 3x failure chance
- a safer token -25grip but /2 failure chance
- a push token +25grip but 2x failure chance
- a steady token +10grip and /2 ability range
- an aggressive token 2x ability range
can add any token for qualy and race or 1 of them only.

fixed tokens
- a team homerace token /2 failure chance
- a driver homerace token +10grip

Point 4
Another idea based on the "Experience" concept brought in by Carlos is to calculate the All of Fame like in point 4, and every race assign a permanent bonus depending on the achievements. This will cause a driver to carry his experience along the season. in example:
to unlock +3 permanent grip a driver has to finish an event equal or better than his All of Fame position (average finishing sprint + feature)
same for the team with +1 permanent hp for finishing better than its AoF (average D1sprint + D2sprint + D1feature + D2feature) .
Alternatively unlock +5 permanent points, can divide the AoF in 4 classes for drivers (1st to 5th, 6th to 10th, 11th to 15th, 16th to 22nd) and 4 for teams (1st to 2nd, 3rd to 5th, 6th to 8th, 9th to 11th) so to receive the bonus, a driver/team must finish in a higher class position. This should be better.
if a team DNF 3 cars of 4 in the whole event the team will increase the failure chance by 200.

Every driver/team can pick its home Gp making 2 additional unexpected variables.
This allows to apply boosts before the season or in different parts of the season (like the real life test sessions) independently of the current ranking reducing the work during the season.
Also suggests to use a wider and various choise of tracks. Also in this way no communicated boost will not cause aleatory tweaking.
the point 4 can be calculated by anyone of the forum and communicate to Rod a sheet with if and who unlocked a bonus.

at least a smaller range between drivers?
so instead of -5, it'd be -2

Mike Miller said me yesterday about this: reduce Performance Points and Ability range. So, it won't necessary create driver boost!! I think it's a good idea!!
