Hi Dirk Holemans.

Zandvoort is now ok !!!!! Tks so much !!!!

but two question:

1 - after the start of the race, the first and second curve, a few cars in front of me disappear and then reappear ... as an image flash... what can it be and what I have to do to fix it ?

2 - During the race, the cars in front of me, returns the carshape to the default ... the right would be the shape like 1985 (large)... what I have to do to fix it ? ( distance ?!?! )

Hi all !!!

As I said, I have problems with some tracks...

1 - Osterreichring

Look this !!!! The camera man in the air......

2 - Paul Ricard

After the fix made by Elio, I have now this panel at the line start.... is it right ???

3 - Paul Ricard an Kyalami

Looks blue between the fences and is appearing along when I run with my car on the long straight ( Mistral ).... and Kyalami too... fisrt corner and after....

I realized when I look at the JAM insed the folder AMCO ( kyaamco and pramco ) that they have blue between fences....

Maybe they have to be transparente.... like other fixes post here.... change to numeber 1.... but where ????

Is it just me who I am with these problems?

Dirk.

I realized that you delete two lines insed the track.

7 - Gp3jams\Genjam\zandarmco.jam
81 - Gp3jams\Genjam\zandarmco.jip

Why ?

Can you teach me why is it necessary ?

And

line 97 an 98, Cam and Cam2 I put these files myself.... where do they appears at the track ???

And

fence9.jam was change....

One more....

Nobody explain to me what is the function and what is inside the JIP file, or how do I open it.... like for example: zandarmco.jip

Finally...

Now all is working and I am playing GP3 now.... I only want to learn a bit more about theses little fix...

Regards

JIP files can be handled almost like JAM files, but the JAM Editor 2000 is not able to handle JIP files
I use an older JAM Editor made by Mal Ross

If you need more information on Jip files have a look here

Guys please remember: different PCs, different video card, different problems...
It's a rule.
So if i have a problem not always others will have it.
Some problems are common: the armco texture in Paul Ricard is due to a NON trasparent texture. Check the box "trasparent" in jam file.
Change texture id to 1 (and again, not always) is used to make a texture trasparent, completily trasparent.
The tower bridge in Paul ricard: i have a similar problem but only in pit lane view and only for the right black panel... WhY? i don't really know.
The flying cameramen in Austria is due to a uncorrect positioning of the object. Find it and move somewhere to the left.
Cars sometimes disappear due to track layout.
Bye

@claudio : you're totally right about computer configurations, that makes it so difficult to find a solution for everyone.
@evandro : i'll sent you a mail about your specific questions, this tread is not an online manual ;-)

can someone send me the latest paul ricard track? (dat and jams please)
I still seem to have another type of starting lights, and maybe we can find a solution for everybody.

The flying cameramen in Zetweg is due to some missing texture of the crane, as the cameramen is part of the yellow crane.
About disappearing cars, maybe a problem related to "view to in front" command? i'll try and let you know.
@holemad: how did you fix the bridge in Paul Ricard?
Bye

Hi Claudio !!!!

1 - Osterreichring

Holemad helps me with the following:

"This object is using jam id 739 which was not in the 2nd pack!
You need to have ‘auspitw1’ in your aus3jam folder.
You find it in the first 1985 trackpack or the original gp3-2k install."

I copied the file and problem finished. All right now !!!!

Wow....

@claudio : it was the last texture in both object 40 and 41 (or id1 = 57 and 58)
I replaced 1637 with 1 and made a little transparent texture with id1 in marquee1
Then i slightly changed the position of the 2nd bridge.

I can send it to you if you want.

A very interesting theme, but why do you start it in this thread??

Hi Prix !!!

I thought the problem was in Zandvoort track, because many problems with this Trackpack was published.

But I did a test with the following values to RCR Distance and now all is right...

15360 - 15360 - 7680 - 7680

Before I saw in MEGAPATH 1985 made by Elio that these values were very high, and did not change the shape of the cars during the race, but to me the game flows very very slow ( in slow motion )

so, with theses values the percentage of PO goes up to almost 200% but I'm getting to play

I apologize to everyone that this matter was discussed in this topic

Look this...

GPxPatch Doc

... The following options are available for GPxLap:

RCR distances. Press this button to set the distance at which the RCR jams are shown instead of the normal car model. Chosing a shorter distance might improve your PO. There's a setting for each camera type.
