Hi all, just discovered the grand prix series this week. I've installed the game on my laptop, but it only works decently on software graphics mode. Out of curiosity, if i were looking to get a desktop pc to play this game at max settings, what specs are necessary?

Not big ones as the game is +12 years old.
What you would need is a graphic card to play in HW mode. But keep in mind that Win7 is not GP3 friendly, prefer the use of XP.

I'm finally getting around to installing an XP partition on my laptop, will report back whether it makes a big difference or not. Using Elio's 1981 mod, HW mode, 7-800 PO on Windows 10 Preview.

I play with Win XP and HW configuration no problems if the Carset original or not accurate.

But with MOD made by ELIO, my race has been in slow motion

The same with GP4... original CPU 50% ( CRTL + O ) but with MOD.... oh-oh.... CPU goes hi.... slow motion race..... buá.....

But I realized what I need is a good graphic card to play it.

Sugestion ?

I've had to unexpectedly be away for a few days, should have time to experiment with an XP and Win 2K partitions tomorrow. Out of curiosity, is there any way to convert mods to work in software mode?

In XP my PO was 60-90 with the same laptop. Amazing difference!
