MD file value added to car.field_108. related to cc grip factor

Posted by savinaclaudio
Hi everyone.
For those who are interested, i was experimenting with the MD file, and i found out this:

as you know, when you play with the Belini Grip Patch applied, most of the values of the MD affect the human too (e.g. cc grip, cc power...): but i found a value that affects the cc only.
It is the "added to car.field_108. related to cc grip factor" which works as a sort of "fine tuning" and it seems that affects the breaking point too.
The starting value is 64768, which is the "0": so the CCs has the grip of the "cc grip factor", without any modification.
In the original MD files, we find only two different values:
64896 = 64768 (0) + 128
65024 = 64768 (0) + 256
so it means that a + 128 and a +256 are added to the grip.
I had a strange problem in Silverstone 1985: even with different MD inserted, i always was 4 seconds slower.
I change tha value to - 5120 and now the CCs has the correct speed into the corners, as they seem to brake earlier: before, they made the corner without any braking...
So the value can be changed + or - with usual values (power of 2): 2, 128, 256, 512, 1024 and so on.
I noticed that +/- 1024 = +/- 0.500 seconds for the CCs.

So this value affects the CCs only, even if you are playing with the Belini Grip Patch applied.
Bye

Thanks for the information...

I did also some tests few weeks ago, and it seems as lower the value is, as earlier they (CC drivers) brake... As higher, as later... (of course)...

Never tested negativ values - i think you have the same effect, if you take the value 64000 (for example)! There are other "positions", with whom you will get the same effect too ;-) Not just with "added..." ...

How high were the values of track grip, cc grip and "added..." before?? (at Silverstone 1985)

Hi.
Yes, 64768 is the zero, so you can use 64640 or - 128 as well.
For Silverstone i used the original 98 MD, and many others to solve the problem, but no result.
Only modifying this value i solved it.

hi,

you cannot imagine how long I was looking for this kind of info. will test now..
Hi pirx, happy for you... and for me ;)

As usual be carefull with the value.

I noticed that a +/- 1024 means a +/- 0.500 seconds for the CCs.

Yes.
64000 is equal to -768 (64768 - 768 = 64000)

Bye
