For those who are trying to edit some tracks themselve, i uploaded a quickguide that will describe the very basics.
I have tried to explain how to add simple commands, working with objects and loading jams.
A little workshop is included to get you started.

Check out the GP3 editors and utillities page.

Learn quick, so that I can retire and enjoy the tracks as a driver. ;)

Am i missing something, pirx? What do you mean by 'what version?'

It goes for 1.13 and 2K, if that is what you're asking.

Retirement will not be accepted, not a part of your contract ;) ;)

Besides that It's a great idea to make a quick guide for track editing. Fine supplement to Scandura's bigger tutorial... (Y) (Y)

The existing TrackEditor version I think is 2.2.0.804.... Dirk should be no less than version no 3.0.0.0 GTi Turbo... ;) ;) (*) (H)

...I thought of adding him something like an "X", minimum (V10). Also quite sure an "XP" would be too low 8)

A minor stuff change, but a great step for Track Editing...
:-)

Very very very goog job!
Really good, the essential and even something else about track editing is now available for everyone.

But remember man! if you edited a track once, you'll always be attracted by modding... you simply can't resist... you want to edit again, and again , and again...
you say to yourself: now stop! i only want to drive...
But when you are on the track, you look at it...you'll always find something to change, a bug to fix, something to improve... you look at the track with a "clinic eye"...
You are possessed! to stop editing you need an Exorcist...hot

;)

claudio, you hit the nail on the head.
Thats the main reason why i started years ago....I don't think I have 1 track that hasn't been reviewed.
Its a disease...:-(

I'm glad you like it, that means a lot to me, thank you.

Sounds familiar.(Y)
When i finish a track , i always let it run a half-distance race without a driver selected.
Can be so frustrating to find out it needs some extra work.
