I believe GP3 2000 is used.
THIS championship uses GP3-2000!! Easiest to update cars and tracks!!

great to read, that the championship will go on!
-One thing I´m always dreaming about is that we have one where we all could do some QualyLaps at home and then the fastest starts from pole. And race itself is held by the computer.
What are you all thinking about this?

Ladies and Gentlemen, to all drivers and teambosses!
These lines I write are a result of a few days thinking about our league. Thinking about how I would like it and what is possible as far I know.
I like this serie because I like: driving in gp3, study racingresults & the circumstance the game itself takes part in raceresults.
Guys, what do you think about the following suggestions?
- Everybody who loves to drive Qualification Laps is enable to send GpxLap/log-files to championship holder. All others are starting in following race automatically. (Grid Rules for "Auto-Drivers" have to be discussed)

Good to see that we go racing again soon. I'm hoping that Tyrant can repeat the performance from last season when we got our first 1-2 result in the sprint race. Our pace in the most recent races has been pretty good, so hopefully that will help us get a decent result.
@pirx, I don't think the idea of everyone sending in a qualifying lap to set the grid is any good. I rather have the qualifying done by the AI for the full race, and then modify the perfs so that the grid is reversd for the sprint race. I'm sure Rod_vs would be able to explain how to sort that out.

@pirx: to this idea makes right, all people need to have exatcly the same track!!

I think that will not be a big problem, because every season you held the last years you had to make a mod with cars/helmets while you needed installed tracks too. I think making a "championship-mod" including tracks AND making it downloadable for people who want to drive qualyfication laps is possible. I could help with that. But I have no experience using GpxLap to verify the laps, so cheating may possibly be a problem.? who has experience with GpxLap & cheating?

We also could drive only one race per GP. That would make things simpler. Then let the computer drive a 100% race.
To be honest, I fear that this serie is fading away. When I look to the number of active posters I get the feeling not half of them are following whats going on. And it is selfdestructive for the league if then drivers are winning races that didn´t leave one post the whole season. I don´t have a problem if some are not active here, nobody has to, but there should be a possibility for others to overtake them in championship-position. When I compare to gp4-racing-league-modus there is nothing that makes us more attractive. Even if we have much more & beautifuller looking tracks. I´m sure if we could raise a league where people can "actively" influence their championship-position our serie will grow in interest and people will come back, especially from the gp4-forum.
And we need a trophy!!

Get in touch with TomMK of GP4 Central. He organizes a HotLap championship for GP4. It works the same way IMO.

Yeah, that's the small issue of the series. Some people never come here and maybe some of them don't even exist.
However I'm not sure you're going the easiest way : hot lap is very time consumming, as a task board to check every lap time, but also as a driver to drive the best lap possible. Add to this that we all must have GP3-2000, that some people have a wheel but other a joystick and some other just a keyboard and you could quickly go into a big mess.
Not that I say it's a bad idea, but keep in mind that it will take more time than just playing the game and make nice videos (which takes some time yet).
