since it came to mind right now, do you know if it's possible to move the race laps limit from 127 to 256?

I had this half working, but not all places were patched yet, so I didn't release it.

..sorry, no active GP3v1.13 running here.

right now tested "belini visors" which needed some small adjustments in .ini & .tga (due to new implemented scaling properties in gpxcinfo)
but else no probs with belinis work!

legendary work you do for us! (B)

Ok nice. Remember that you can set the scaling in a GPxCInfo panel to Stretched to get the old behavior back.

yeah, no prob..I remembered it was mentioned in GP4-forum. Only had to trim some .tga into correct size by cropping 20% off :)
btw: very positive how GPxCInfo now handles scaling and size! (with v3.9x it always was a little mystery to me)

so, thx again

Hi, i think i found something strange happening with the track extention. if a save a wet race, on reload the rain disappear.

shlund today reported a ctd with shanghai. I couldn't believe the problems starting over again.
Did the test, and he was right.
Went back to 3.93 and track loaded again without a problem.
Installed a new 4.22 and bam, again ctd.
After reading your post, Rob, i set it back to tracklimit 8 km and it ran fine!

@ René : do you have any idea what can be the reason? I can tell you that shanghai is 137kb of size and a belini track.
Maybe if i make the track a bit bigger in size so it exceeds 140kb, problem may disappear ?
Shanghai : always a pain in the sss :-(

Okay :) thanks for info Dirk, looking forward to some kind of solution (can always drive with track limit 8km) but it would be awesome if we could add more items/details and increase the .dat file size :) Many thanks from here...

The track extention is still experimental. Though working with it about editing I'm using it really when very necessary. We can only report issues at this stage to help René updating it and alert players to find a workaround when odd situations happen :)

thats what this settings says : 'experimental feature' and 'only use when needed'

@shlund : adding extra objects like roadsigns and the stands in the long back turn is no problem. Its only that the patch wants to accept the .dat;
i will look for that one sorted. The same update goes for melbourne : lost objects can be re-inserted since size limits are history.

This only happens with >8km, even with normal tracks? Or only 1 specific track?

the ctd happened only with reduced shanghai this far. The original seems to run allthough i only removed a few objects to reduce.
Might be also a jam-id thats causing this one. Gonna check this tomorow afternoon.

@ Renè
i hope you can help me, i fell again in this bug while working on a track. For some reason the command 0xa2 (Join left pitlane fence) is also pointing to the right pitlane fence (red segment) instead of the left (yellow segment). The command 0xa1 (Join right pitlane fence) seems to work fine though.
I could hide the bug by removing that command but i'm not sure if the track is actually corrupted. if i send you the dat file can you check why this bug hits me many times over the years?
it shouldn't depend from the latest patch as the first time i met it was in 2004

thanks
