strange ribbons problem

Hi guys.
I have downloaded ettore's great 1980trackpack. I drive on Osterreichring on a PC and all is ok. I drive on the PC where i usually play Gp3, and i get this problem:

on ribbon R5 and L5 i get some black panel between the usual texture (the trees bordering the track in many places).
So it seems a usual jam file missing problem, but i checked and all the jams are in their places; the commands related to ribbons are ok (switch ribbons on/off, scenery definition...).
But, above all: why on a PC i have no bug and on another (with the same GpX, folders, game config...) i see the black panel?
Therefore: if i use a transparent texture for the ribbons, the black panels are still visible. If i delete the "switch ribbon on command", the black panel disappear.
Any idea?

Thats your videocard. I have the same with my 2 pc's : both have nvidia-cards but one shows black parts and the other doesn't.
Its the size of the jam that causes the problems.
height/wide of the jam has to be 16,32,64,128,256,512...
resizing the jam is the solution, or change videocard.
(see also a threat by belini)

But i tried t use even different jams, and had the same problem...
Anyway i'll try.

What will be the solution to this problem ?

I'll take a look at other circuits and see if this is a problem with my PC.

Did you see my other post about the Interlagos circuit, Hockenheim and Montreal.

Are you able to run these circuits ?

Hello Taube.

Ettore did a great job but I'm having some problems.

I'm using the GPxPatch 1.31 for load the game.
The version of my GP3 is 1.13

THIS WOULD BE THE PROBLEM ???

Kyalami: I'll reinstall and do a complete overhaul. I reinstalled and now everything is OK

Monaco: At the entrance of chincane not appear the guardrail, right, is it really?

Long Beach: Black Panel high in the sky at the end of the line.

Interlagos: Displays the message wrong file. Not loads.

Montreal and Hockenheim: Do not load and crash.

Österreichring: Black Panel at various locations.

Other circuits I'm checking one by one.

Problem solved: resized the jam originally 768x256 to 512x256, now all ok.
Thanks holemad, you were right.

@evroic: at kyalami you miss some jam files for sure. At Monaco is a track editing problem.

@evroic : you should update GPxPatch to 3.93 ( >> here << ).
That won't solve your issues but that would be better than 1.31 you have.
for Monaco's chicane, I think it's normal : there was a run-off area here at that time.

evandro, i've sent you a little update-pack for the tracks mentioned above.
Could you test it please and let us know?
Be aware that i only fixed these problems and not the complete track.
(what happened with pitlane interlagos?seems they dropped a bomb)
As for monaco,eric is right, its a runoff-area. i placed a tyrewall instead,maybe it looks better now.

Also run your GP3 with gpxpatch 3.93 in debug mode and low verbosity; it might help for montreal and hockenheim.

I didn't know if you resolve, but try to change JAM size to 128, 256 or 384...

Hello drivers! then .. in long beach is actually a mistake, but I do not know what the flying object in question! in Monaco, at that point there is no guard rail, there is a way. so I looked right not to put anything as it is in reality. In hockenheim and montreal I repeat that I do not know why you do not load. I've tried them and load well on gp3 1.13 and 2K. Finally, interlagos .. I finally figured out what is the difference between gp31.13 and 2_k! I did not know that the 1.13 file.dat to be lighter! thanks to holemad! sorry for these errors.

As for longbeach its actual a sidewall of the buildings a few 100meters further on track (the 2 big ones on the left)
I made that side transparent and now its fine.

Holemad, soon I load the trackpack 81 but I can not change long beach after entering the command 0xC5 - 0xC6! the circuit is corrupt! you want to do the test to remove that wall flying in long beach81?

Interlagos is working now. Now I can play !!!!
Monaco is working with chincane correct. Wow !!!
Long beach is right now. Not showing the problem mentioned. Yes !!!!

09-Hockenheim 80.dat and 13-Montreal 80.dat -> don't load, crash GP3......

I'll try your suggestion: Also run your GP3 with gpxpatch 3.93 in debug mode and low verbosity; it might help for montreal and hockenheim.
