Im amazed by this quality level! This can easily pass even GP4! Great job and well done!

By the way, for a long time I was missing from here. :P

The old classics will be always better than the newest games.

I'm currently improving the SW textures. Do you mind if I upload them here afterwards ? Damn, that Petronas green is a real bitch to get right in SW mode ;)

hehe, I've been a software player for years, so I know how it feels when SW files are available in "high" quality. I must admit that I had very little work to do overall, but what I did was really satisfying :) Actually, the "Generate Software" function works quite well for the 2012 cars, but I had to replace the transparency color and smooth orange, gold and dark blue areas. Oh and how can I forget the Petronas green ;) The EMAC 2001 carset has an interesting technique to improve the bland blue we get when generating a software texture, but I didn'ty bother doing so, so it's plain blue :) Also, helmet visors had many transparent pixels, which are now gone. And I modified the bottom of the cockpit textures so they show one color only.

I didn't include any readme file, because all you need is GP3Edit. The rest is self explanatory.

@NemesisF1 : If you're satisfied with my files, feel free to put them in your GP-2012.gp3 :)

There is only one thing which I want to be improved here after all: The hands for both TV view and helmet view must be longer because when you are going into a hard steer at some corner you can easily see that they are cutted.

The old classics will be always better than the newest games.

I tried to improve it, the problem with that is going to try to make the arms longer generates a white line in the middle of the screen, creating an annoying interference to driving. I researched and is an issue that the image should be placed from the screen resolution size, so interference is generated.
My apologies but that is very difficult to solve!

McLaren :

I've got three more ready : Ferrari, Red Bull and Marussia. I'll stop after these, as that'll cover all engine manufacturers (Ferrari, Renault, Mercedes and Cosworth)

:E// Ah screw that, I intended to make previews of the other 3, but it's taking too long lol. So here is the big file that contains all 4 sounds :)

Thanks for the sounds, man!

About the arms: Does there exists any value to decrease the steering rate for the TV cam view? I mean less rotating to the wheel. If this can be applied the arms will be okay.:-)

The old classics will be always better than the newest games.

When, in the GPxPatch, Hand and Viewer will and give edit. They choose the team that are individual, where it says control, says next image. There give editing. In the pane will appear an option that says rotate and two values below it. Those are the values to be edited. The default is 80 and 80, if the change and put a value below the same value but negative.

This mod is great, but it is very choppy when I try to play it.

My old version of GP3 worked perfect, so not sure if I should be changing any settings.

Thanks for any help.

ahoi - what an outstanding wonderful MOD!

one tiny bug I found when I used wonderful T-cam-mode:

-Vettels helmet is not scaled correctly

->solution:
in your "2012 T-Cams.ini" look for area:

[Steer23ControlImage0]
...
Scale=0 (I deleted this line and everything is fine now)

cheers

Hi Briere - is there any way you could explain how you play the current tracks in SW mode. I would really like to do this because my HD nVidia card is overheating and within 10 to 15 mins the picture and grahpics are seriously distorted. I tried converting some of the jams in Roberto's Acapulco track to SW but only 1 or 2 saved okay.

Thanks.
