Indy 2012 season

Is anyone creating an indycar 2012 carset with bodyshape?

I really, really hope so. However we didn't see a 2010 or 2011 Indy set so

I use the old CART lola shape with the 09 indy carset at the moment. At least Ganassi have kept their scheme so we can replicate Dixon & Franchitti. about it though

Is there a carshape creation guide for gp3 anywhere? id like to have a try with the DW12

Actually there are 2011 and 2010 indy carsets in the download section. And I have made a 2012 carset myself. What I need is the carshape. I can do carsets to include art, banners, ect.
But I dont know how to do carshapes. I use the Irl carshape 2010 myself. The closest carshape to the DW 12 would be th 1984-5 Tyrell carshape. What would be way cool is if someone wanted to turn it into GP3 Indy 2012 with new startup videos, game videos and tv graphic and replay patches for gpx patch. Just like the 2010 and 2011 Grand Prix year. I had all of those patched into my game before a virus destroyed my hard drive last winter. It was totally incredible. Now I am rebuilding from scratch. I had over 100 tracks.

Ye as i said. If anyone knows of a tutorial. Id like to try carshape editor

That's to avoid that kind of thing that I bought a NAS.
A few years ago, I've lost all of my music, thousand of songs ripped from my discotheque, hours and days of work for that. And no backup anywhere.

I've cryed all day and all of the night...

Now I have at least one backup of everything I got on my computers. And quite often, several copies : one on each PC, one on the NAS, one on an external hard drive, one on....


I should advice any one of you to do the same. It's cheap, it's easy to install, it's network shared, and it's more secure for your datas.

i've seen the 2012 indycar shape and i'll give all my respect if someone is able to make something decent. not enough polygons on the original shape to make it closer
though that car looks more like a LeMans car than an openwheel, so some graphical trick could be the way, like stretching the side car and painting the wheel on it and use deflectors to complete the 2 backwheel bodies

there isn't much to know about the car editor, you need to open the original carshape and see that the car is connected by vertex. each vertex has 3 coordinate XYZ to move the connection point. it requires a lot of patience.

Its not like some of the modelling programs where you can copy a jpg real life picture of a car and itll transform it into a 3d image then?

Would it be possible to receive a copy of your 2012 Indy carset...?? Perhaps it would be a great base for further work if you agree....

For now I would just use the 2011 carshape, but hope ofcourse a 2012 shape will be available...

But with a NAS there are two hard drives in RAID mode. Much secure I hope.

Hey Ste could you email me that carshape? mtman77@msn.com. Also looking for Barber Motorsports Park if anyone has it. The one in the downloads makes my game crash. Thats the Barber 2009. It does not work on my puter. @ shlund I sent the carset. Hope you like it.
