Creating a carset - Anything I need to know?

Hi everyone! I'm thinking of entering the world of modding and creating a carset for GP3-2000 (from scratch, so it's not leeched!)
Is there anything important that I need to know? Would be nice if you could give me some tips as well

hi,

don´t produce black pixels, they will be shown transparent in game.

You can solve this when you´re work is done with photoshop by using "save for web" and converted them into a 256-gif. during this step the interface will allows you to delete a selected color with one click and replace it with the next best fiting color.

Thanks, but I already know how to paint a car without the transparent pixels

The video here shows a car that I painted. The 'You' in the 'YouTube's initially came out transparent!

Anything else? (Say, when I'm finished and would like other people to be able to download it, etc.)

many perfect cars are already available here at the forum, so why not designing new/updated track-objects?

upload it to this site's Download section

or if its a picture file upload is straight to the forum thread

really excited someone else has joined our community. PS excellent DP! :D

I intend to create a carset for a series not yet represented on GP3. My first WIP image should be uploaded soon
