Just saying goodbye as I have exams coming up which determine if I get into the University course I want to do. Unfortunately that means a temporary end to anything associated with fun for 3 months, so I can revise everything. On the upside, when I come back there should be track editor. Anyway all of you have fun.

Cheers
JPM

I'm in Victoria so its VCE, same thing though. I need to get 88 to get into Computer Science so I can become a games programmer/developer. No prizes for guessing what genre my first game will be! ;-)

Cheers

Yeah they are the final exams. A crash course on VCE. In class you have about 5 tests that make up 50% of the assessment then an end of year exam that is 50%. They are all about 3hrs long.

At least I'll have something to look forward to. Jon will have made his 20 thousandth and something post ;-) and hopefully I will be able to drive around on a 2003 track.

Cheers

I need to get as high above 95 as i can, to get into Medicine at University of NSW, but that's extremely optimistic of me, but at least it's making me work hard!

JPM, make sure you let everyone know how you get on...and good luck :)

What uni is this at?, only asking because my brother is currently in the computer science - Games Technology course at Charles Sturt University in Bathurst. He says that it is a pretty good course (he is in his third year).

Good luck guys, I did my HSC last year i got through it pretty easily without having to bust a nut by studying 12 hours a day., it really isnt as hard as everyone makes it out to be!

yeah I'm hoping so - I went to the library 3 days last holidays (periodically, averaging about once a week) to work on a big Religion essay, and it scared me to see the same people there every time studying like their exams were tomorrow, when I had spent the entire holidays mucking around

...I've still got a week till my trials so I'm putting the hours in now. Here's hoping!

I just want to do a degree in Computing when i go next spetember to uni. Looks good but unfortunately computer science looks far to complicated and (if i may say so) i hat the theory side of computing. A degree in computing still covers computer programming so i can still be a games designer in the future.

I'm doing Comp Sci at Adelaide Uni and the first year is all Math, Logic and Java basics. So basically getting your head around Object oriented programming is the aim of first year. I'm not continuing as it's too boring for me. I've change my individual subjects to what I want to do from all over the uni and now it's much more fun! I got a 63 TER (SA's ENTER score) and that got me in, just shows Computer Science isn't highly rated by school leavers. But how stupid is it when you create a turn based strategy game from scratch that used 3D programming but it's that complicated your school moderators didn't even know how to mark it. Meh stupid acedemic stuff is crap.
