I had one earlier on today(Technically yesterday now). 12" Pepperoni, delicious hot gooey mess. With a can of Irn Bru.

Then I got on a bus.

I'm more or less addicted to it. For the last couple of years I've been drinking at least one 500ml bottle a day. I first noticed how much of it I was drinking in winter 2012 when I had flu and then a chest infection afterwards, and while I took Penicillin to clear up the chest infection I was taking Paracetamol to feel better, and drinking Irn Bru too. The Bru worked just as well as the Paracetamol, so I ended up self-medicating with it.

I always thought it had genuine medicinal qualities, not being in Scotland however, my local retailers are seemingly in a joint initiative to stop selling it, I have to venture all the way to Tesco :O

Shocking! Yeah, it seems to be a much bigger deal here than everywhere else(A survey a few years ago apparently showed Scotland was the only country in the world where Coke wasn't the most popular soft drink, and Bru was what eclipses it).

As it happens I went to a cafe today where all the food they serve is ultra healthy - had soup and then a salad dish - and asked for Bru with it, and got a can of the diet stuff as that was all they sold. First time I can ever remember having it, and just as I suspected, it tasted horrible. Watered down pish.

I don't know if this changes the lives of anyone here, but earlier I had the pornographers special. The 10" meat feast.

There really is no easy way to order that one over the phone.

LOL!

Those are, in my experience, pretty epic. Last time I had one like that was in Pizza Hut, ages ago. I've recently noticed there's a Pizza Hut halfway along one of my bus routes home, so might have to pop in there sometime soon.

Was in two minds about ordering a takeaway pizza tonight since I'm staying in, this convo might influence that, ha.

Diet Irn Bru?! that sounds nasty :P

You should have gone for pizza mate, always the correct choice. When in doubt, get pizza and something that rhymes with doubt.

This thread is developing nicely :)

I myself am having a Deep Crust 3-cheese pizza from Aldi tonight :p
£1, bargain :D

Thanks to you guys I am now popping to my local in hope they are stocking a fizzy orange drink.

I got a 750ml glass bottle of Bru to drink while I watched quali, which I do pretty often TBH. £1 too.

I tend to have pizza at weekends when I stay in, perfect weekend/night time food. One place in the city centre which does all-you-can-eat buffets has various pizzas as part of that, that's an option too sometimes. :)

*Imagines the background of a really cheesy 50s American commercial. Or The Truman Show*

I'm sure I'll come up with something. I'm not good at making these kind of puns unless I deliberately make them shockingly bad... LOL.

Lol, well it's been a few hours and the Aldi pizza has been ovened, eaten and is now gone, Still couldn't think of anything good to rhyme with doubt, other than gout, but that didn't make sense.

Unfortunately for me no Irn Bru within a 2 mile radius of my house, and as the afformentioned qually was on I couldn't walk out and get some, bad times.

Better times ahead for Sunday though, I'm off for some before the race :D, what a Sunday, Irn Bru, F1 (& BTCC) , maybe another pizza hmm.

I had two of those small pizzas you can do in the microwave earlier.

It was nice :)

How did it go in the end? My local supermarket(About 100m away from my flat) has Bru, so popped out during Martin's grid walk to get a 500ml bottle. :P

Those Chicago Town-type pizzas are great. I love the little cupcake-size ones you get at party buffets etc too.

Yeah it went well mate, well the Irn Bru acquiring went well, local Tesco had them for £1 a bottle (2litre) :D so bought 2.

Then I encountered 2 big problems, 1 - walking with 4 litres of drink after a few minutes becomes very tiresome, and 2 - it absolutely chucked it down from the second I left the shop 'till about 2 seconds before I walked through my front door -_-

Well worth it though.

Haha yeah anything they make tastes great to be honest :P
This thread is becoming a bit troublesome for me, as every time I read it I feel the urge for bru & pizza :P
