I replace some cars in mod to Codemaster's shapes maded by these guys @GP4 Forever. There are Ferrari, Mecedes and Redbull more realistic, I think. I want to do same thing with Lotus E22, but there is a lot of mapping or drawing.

I'd be interested to hear people opinions on the 2014 Magic Data. The files will work on any version of a track, so let's say you have a 2011 version of Spa, you can load the 2014 Magic Data and it will behave like 2014...

The GP4CC Season 3 calendar is announced today.

Just a short season this time, timed to finish in parallel with the start of the actual F1 2015 season.

The penalties system has been made simpler and, I think, fairer. Fuel penalties will accumulate instead of staying static.

Also, driver aids are no longer banned, and we will use this revised physics set.

No need to sign up, just make sure you're familiar with how it works, read the rules, download the mod and start practising! Good luck!

Hi Tom

Have tried it for 4-5races now.
It is challenging to be sure

The reduced grip is quite noticeable but interesting too.
In some ways I can imagine it is more realistic as how often can an F1 driver floor it
during parts of the turn exit etc.... like we could before.

Also braking seems reduced? Is this true? I do seem to notice
needing to brake either harder or sooner than my usual for Suzuka,Montreal etc

Another thing is obviously old setups I had used before are not well suited & need adjustment
as they were just too slippery now but with the stock setups it was less so ok & surely some adjustments can be made.

Overall I would say I like it quite a bit due to it being more challenging. Of course will take some getting use to
as besides the reduced grip & braking I seem to be running wide on quite a few turns but this of course could
be also due to the two things just mentioned & needing more time to practice & adjust setups

Lastly I did observe a few races & agree the AI seem quite well behaved.

Thanks for your efforts & mods!

@flying - thanks for the feedback. The braking is not reduced, but less grip probably means slightly longer braking zones. Overall I am able to set very similar lap times on the circuits we used during season 2 with the 690kg physics, so it's the same but different, if you know what I mean. I'm sure there's more room for improvement but the main thing is the AI is good again with it this way. I think I will go back and do the same thing to my 2012 & 2013 mods as well at some point.

GP4CC Season 3 Event 1 - Barcelona

We're continuing the tradition of opening the GP4CC season at Barcelona. So far jorge holds the GP4CC lap record for this track with his season 1 laptime of 1:18.949 in the 2013 Ferrari. Can anyone beat that with the revised 2014 physics?

Remember, there are no restrictions on driver aids or car choices for this short season.

Make sure you're familiar with how it works, read the rules, download the mod and remember to submit an early banker lap to check your settings are all correct.

Good luck and Happy Driving!! (Y)

Ok tried but now got this?

Invalid Entry: CC checksum is not correct. Check your performance files.

Invalid Entry: Track checksum is not correct. Check your track files.

I am pretty sure I have it all setup same as last year
realistic weather, weather seed 12091,41542,52212,5947,35204,55868 etc & set to unlimited practice , pro level etc.
Track is stock track in slot 5

2014 Laptop V3.1 is what I have downloaded

PS: I did change one name in perf file same as we did last year
Is that different this year?

Lets see if anyone else can submit a bankers lap

It was my mistake, I'd somehow got the checksums wrong (I think I might have used v3.0 of the mod to set up the competition). Anyway you've been entered into the competition (Y).

Some nice times up early, with Tom already ahead of the top time from last season's test; This new physics is going to make for an interesting season I reckon!

I'll hopefully have a lap done tonight; I reckon I'll try a few with last season's setup first.

Best of luck all!

Yep the new mod seems to be a little faster. I think it's pretty likely we're going to see a new lap record at Barcelona :)

Well, the idea of giving my setup from last season a go failed spectacularly; spinning off through the gravel at turn 3 kind of sucks.

But you're not wrong about this version being a bit faster; Even with what felt like a pretty dodgy lap, I managed an OK time.

Also, just checking, can we edit camera positions and what-not?

Yes you can edit anything which does not impact on the integrity of the mod. So camera positions, sounds, etc, no problem. Just not the performance, physics, torque, etc etc.

Has anyone noticed the in pit set-up menu only allows a few things to be changed?
Like wing,ride height etc?

But damps, bumpers, diff cannot be done in car?
I thought last year it was possible or am I mistaken?

Good evening,

just started the download hoping I'm not to late...

Not late as I can see on the competition-page :-)
But the download doesn't start :-(
