World Grand Prix - XMas Qualification of Belgium
Welcome to the qualification of the WGP series for the 3rd X-Mas race! Hopefully you'll enjoy this event on Christmas
Just like in Season1 and Season2 the X-Mas race is helt on SPA-Franchorchamps and since Season 2 it is snowing around the track!!!
Iván Cantero is first to go out in the Qualification
He sets a time which is much faster then in the rookietest!!
But he aint the only one, also Capriosa goes fast, 4 tenths faster then Cantero even
Turnbull misses P1 there, he slides in 2nd behind Paolo
Bruno Castello shows off his pace then, going fastest for Viper K1
And OUCHH!! Where it was WHOAA! yesterday, it's more painfull today .. 19 sec down, what did he do??
Ah there it is, he simply slipped out on the snow and parked his car aside the track, he could move on nevertheless
Guido Prins for DFR goes 3rd
Redmer Postma shows it can be alot faster grabbing P1 for Scolari
Dan Mills goes then again 33 thousands faster
Koen Wijns is starting the next run, everyone has gotten 2 runs so there is still hope for Panker
Wijns is caught up behind traffic in the form of Gareth Spencer!! Spencer just bumped out the pits letting Wijns doing a complete brake test!!
It doesnt matter as Wijns drives of track a few corners later (he did overtook Spencer before though down the straight
)
Guilherme Cramer puts on a 6th time here
Kyran Brazier only goes 15th and it doesn't look good ..
It's Zeewoldeman Nick then who goes pretty fast, 4th for Shadow Subaru
Mikey McClain can't compete with his teammate Mills but still goes 8th fastest
Ashley Butler then surprising everyone going 3rd for VDV Racing!!

Diego improves but he is still not near his pace from last season
Capriosa tries to got back up front, but he can't come near enough
Dan Mills probarly thought 33 thousands wasnt enough .. taking the time down with nearly 3 tenths!!
De Boer takes his car of the backfield and goes in 4th, DFR seems sort of saved by this lap
And just as it was Iván twice leading a run, Koen Wijns does it also!
He improves and comes up to a second near the fastest time, this is good for 8th fastest
Matt Houston improves also, he slides in 10th
Byron van het Bolscher tries, but he can't come any further then the time he already had written down
Also Roberto Yermo improves, but can't be very happy with 14th
Same goes for Marc Ainley, only he got P16
Mikey McClain is then almost the last to give it a shot and he is way off!!
Zeewoldeman Nick then as last chance, he comes 2 seconds to short and didn't improve his first time

Hi there again! It's the WGP from Belgium on the WinterWonderLand Spa-Franchorchamps!! Hopefully you'll enjoy the race
The field is set up, 4 lights are on, ready to GO!!!
And we are off!!!
Postma grabbed the lead from Mills around the outside of La Source
Mills took his place back on the straight behind Eau Rouge!
After lap one the field looks like this
Ouch that doesnt look good!
And there it happens .. Matt Houston smashes his car into the wall!
Well that wasn't a long adventure for Matt, I'm sure he must be pissed off!
There we catch Van het Bolscher driving 21st, that shouldn't be right??
There we see it, he spun in the same corner Gergõ did in the Qualify
He had to wait till everyone was cleared before he could rejoin his way
Few laps later we also caught Turnbull making a mistake, the snow must be pretty slippery!
WHOW! Woolhead is on FIRE! A oil leak has ended his race for sure, well at least he aint got it cold in the car now ..
He is safely putting it away at the side of the track, happily for him the pits is close by
Redmer Postma from 2nd place goes in the mistake!
He quickly drives on track though only losing a position to Ashley Butler as he closed the door to Nick
Nick did a good overtaking and got passed by Postma in the busstop
Bruno Castello attacking De Boer ..
He succeeds!
Dan Mills is driving in P1 pretty lonely
And thats Turnbull's second mistake!!
Once again no damage, but he sees some cars pass by ..
Wow it is slippery!!! Kyran Brazier went off with his GP Racing car
Turnbull now chasing the GP Racing car of Kyran
Van der Voort attacks his own VDV Racing car with Butler in it!
And Nick grabs P2!!
2 laps later Nick is the first to stop, together with: Postma, Wijns, Yermo, McClain & Turnbull
Postma has beaten Nick in the pits! He got his position back again
De Boer is out on revanche! Now he is attacking Bruno Castello
And also he succeeds
Dan Mills pits a lap later then Nick together with: Butler, Castello, Cantero, Spencer, Van het Bolscher & Brazier
Maikel de Boer now grabbed the lead!
There it's Noriega entering the pit, he is followed by: Panker, Cramer, Capriosa, Prins & Ainley
Postma is now already being tailed by Nick again, also Wijns in the back is searching for a connection
There then finally is De Boer, though he is outside the window of the other drivers He also took enough fuel to finish the race!! He does an one stopper!!

Koen Wijns is now really close too, Redmer is having a hard time there
There is a Scolari being written off!!
Redmer has crashed into the wall very hard!
The marshall is at the scene very quickly
Capriosa is the innocent victim then ..
He lost his front wing on the tyre from Postma!
After 14 laps it's Mills leading the race
Ashley Butler opens the second series of pitstops! Yermo, Panker, Turnbull seemed to have choosen the same lap aswell
A lap later it's Nick entering the pits once again, followed by: McClain, Noriega, Van het Bolscher & Brazier
Another lap later it's race leader Mills entering the pits! He is being tailed by: Wijns, Prins, Cantero, Castello, Cramer & Spencer
In the replay we saw Prins attacking Cantero right before they went in the pits!!
Prins braked way too late, but he made it!
As we can see here he is leading in front of Cantero
Then with 6 laps to go, it's De Boer leading the race .. but he only did one stop! Can someone catch up with him??
Well Cantero can forget that .. He is spinning off
Ainley is here, together with Capriosa, the last to make a pitstop
And that's Nick making a huge mistake, he nearly destroyed his car!!
In the replay we see he wanted to go a little bit too fast ..
This leaves Koen Wijns now in 3rd, he profited by the mistake from Nick
And there is the reigning champion Diego Noriega, he tries to overtake Gergõ Panker
He does it and leave Panker in a Rico Racing sandwich!
De Boer is leading .. but who is that in the back?!?! It's Dan Mills, he is driving very fast
Only Koen Wijns is faster atm who is putting fastest lap after fastest lap!!!!
With 2 laps to go, the gap is completly closed!
Dan Mills smells victory now ..
The main reason the gap is so quickly smalled: De Boer made a mistake, he is really suffering from his tyres now due his strategy
He took a wide line through the snow, but he got it back on track before Mills was around the corner
Though Mills is way quicker on his newer tyres ..
There he did it!!! Mills overtakes De Boer for the LEAD!
Last lap is running and De Boer is out of chances to win .. or not?
There we see Prins attacking and overtaking Ashley Butler
Both are doing great today, just one more lap for the guys!

Byron van het Bolscher desperatly trying to get close to Kurtis Turnbull, this is really a race to forget for him

Before any questions: I don't know WHY I did only one stop in the race, but this has occured several times before with Brazier S1, and Cantero S2 (some sort of bug on the driver of the 2nd ferrari slot). But as this is a xmasrace were no points are awarded or perf points, and I didn't won the race, I didn't took the time to change it. Also didn't wanted to make calculations in the time sheet so it's also being lazy May this occur in an official race though, then you can expect to see a time penalty behind my name (or anyone else who only would stop once).

An ok race for Rico Racing. OUr pace must be better in the official races tho. An solid debut of Gareth.

Great Race - Technically a podium by nick as Maikel cheated!
Ivan looked solid too before he spun so I'm really chuffed at our pace and hopefully we can keep it up going into the new season, we do deserve it after the difficulties we've had lately.
With regards to the pit stop problem, it's a well known bug in the game that the car in that position - Ferrari slot 2 i think - always runs a different strategy when on a two stop. I'd suggest that we have just one stop in future WGP races, there's no point in keep adding penalties to Maikel if it continually happens
