Hi everyone,

Like I wrote on my site, I found a new job, so I have less time to "work" on my tools but as you can see from this thread title, new releases are still on the go :)

Today is the release of GP4 Builder 1.04. It mainly brings a better support of imported/exported .3ds objects (adding texture support), adds the new one click object shadow feature and also some handy things like .gp4 face deletion and better detection of many errors that could lead to game crashes.

In brief : everything to create more and better tracks again ;)

As usual, here is the complete changelog :

v1.04 (April 2nd 2007)
New: Delete .gp4 faces
New: Cast .gp4 object shadows
New: Convert lods to individual objects
New: GP4 Builder now checks for .gp4 parts with 0 faces
New: GP4 Builder now creates an empty pitverge.bin file when converting .dat to .bin
New: set texture and material of new fences created with Fence Builder
Enhanced: Track Flag list now checks DE and DF commands
Enhanced: Track FLag List now checks Kerbs relative commands (F2,F3 and CA)
Enhanced: Track Flag List now checks incorrect sector flag values
Enhanced: Track Flag List now checks pitlane fences commands positions (9F and A0)
Enhanced: better default properties for objects created from a .3ds file.
Enhanced: still buttons are now handled as toolbars
Enhanced: now handles bitmap textures from .3ds objects
Fixed: exported .3ds objects had invert mapping
Fixed: infinite error when selecting a camera with incorrect setting while another camera was running
Fixed: wrong label for physics del button with CC-line and cameras
Fixed: in some cases, deleting a command, a cc-line section or a camera was disabled
Fixed: orthographic view was dependent to viewport dimensions
Fixed: big .3ds files are now imported into objects (instead of parts of one unique object).
Fixed: incorrect default .dat debug filename when .dat file was opened alone
Fixed: Missing 86 or 87 commands were incorrectly reported in track flag list pitlane section

Thanks every one :)
And thanks to B-tone, you can now re-download the file to be sure the User Guide is accessible from Gp4 Builder. A must have feature for sure ;)

I love the 'cast shadows' fuction, for me the best progression with trackmaking in a long time, thank you once again Laurent. :)

Sounds cliché, but good luck with your new job. ;)

Laurent, just a tiny little bug discovered with the new version, the command 'Right Track Width', the letter 'T' is not in capital, hopefully you put the fix in your to-do-list. ;) ;)
