Thanks but I can't get this to work, should the full path........F:\Program Files (x86)\Infogrames\Grand Prix 4 etc etc..... be displaying in the GPXInfo tab or just the .ini name (haze.ini)

This is fantastic, thanks very much! Looks great, although obviously still not the quality of the shots you create ;)

Hmm it's a CSM issue, I got it working using gpxpatch only, personally I think it's a little too much in driver view, but looks great from track cam views, there's no reason why we can't have 2 or 3 different levels of haze for different views.
A great concept and approach to the issue tho' (Y) I've never touched the panel section before, my preference is no speedo's logo's etc, see what people come up with tweaking.

Okay I'm pleased that this is of benefit. And for sure if any one takes it further it would great .... using more than one panel e.t.c.
I never really planned to develope it really but after reading the initial post about atmospheric haze I was interested because it was something that GP4 always lacked so I took and afternoon an fiddled with the idea of filters and the result was not too bad so there you go .... enjoy.:-)

There's tons of scope for tweaking, you could have 6 layers of haze and use gp4 as a testbed for the effect, then combine the layers your happy with into one.
This could look great in combination with hardcoded (modeled) haze in tracks.

...oh btw...you forgot to put the AA in the zip :-)

I just had a look at it. Great idea (Y).
Especially for wet races it should give much more realism.

--> In the RAR-file there is a document called 'note.docx'. Sadly I cannot open docx-format. So is it anything important?

Don't be so modest, your graphics looks very sharp.

Thanks for release Lez. :)

The docx file says:

"Note;
I have enclosed a copy of both my CFG and 3D settings.
These may give you some idea of the set up I use to get maximum results.

I only notice "Fogginess" in cockpit view, but its very simple to fix by tweaking the tga.

@Isaint, your f1graphics.cfg has absolutely transformed my game, I cannot get over how good it looks on my laptop, it only has an ATI Mobility Radeon HD 4250, I had to quit the game and double check my AA was switched off, with your cfg it looks like it's on :-)

Does anyone know how I make the GPXInfo display just the "haze.ini" and not the full path, when using CSM ?

EDIT: Nevermind I figured it out..put the file in the main gpxdata folder not the csm one.

EDIT 2: I still can't get it to show using CSM, what am I missing ?

Thank you very much for this fine option for GP4, nice work...

I tried it out in GP3 as well and I had no problems, looked fine to me... :)
