sorry to bother you again with this topic guys but i'm still very much amazed by ReShader! Look at the difference for night races (esp. curbs, lights, black color, depth of textures). In motion, it looks even better:by Carl_gpgames - Grand Prix 4
same here, added an exception, now it doesn't pop up anymore.by Carl_gpgames - Grand Prix 4
here is a video showing GP4 with some filters and light effects applied. looks pretty cool. my settings are here.by Carl_gpgames - Grand Prix 4
you're very welcome. So far, i'm using FilmicPass, PPFX SSDO and HexLensFlare. MotionBlur sounds promissing, but i haven't found a propper setting yet. Edit: I had to enable VSync in my Nvidia-Settings since i had horizontal lines on some frames. Now everything works great. Btw; VSync in the f1graphics.cfg didn't work.by Carl_gpgames - Grand Prix 4
QuoteExcalibur Yes, we used to talk about Reshade and sweetfx some years ago. What is great with the last version is that sweetfx effects are now integrated to reshade so there is one installation for all. I have tried to install reshade into main GP4 folder but once the game is launched, the menu won't show up. @Carl: Could you copy and paste your reshade.ini informations, please. i had the same problem here. The user Flash Formula helped me, it was about the tex-file, but i don't exactly know what he did.by Carl_gpgames - Grand Prix 4
it obviously changes the cpu-behaviour somehow... if i set to to "CPU 0" in gpxpatch, my cpu occupancy is around 200%, if i set it to "all", it is around 30% and smoother than ever. whatever, enough GP4 for today.by Carl_gpgames - Grand Prix 4
there is also a lens fler effect that changes depending on how strong the light on track is. pretty cool.by Carl_gpgames - Grand Prix 4
no didn't notice any effect on the fps. the fps is fix anyways in GP4 (f. e. if you set it to 60 fps, it will stay at 60 fps). in my case, it also didn't affect the CPU at all. As far as i understand, this tool works through GPU only.by Carl_gpgames - Grand Prix 4
Hello everybody I just came across this tool and i'm absolutely amazed by it's effect! I was looking for a program to change the colors in GP4 (to reduce the saturation) because i didn't wan't to use a filter with GPxPatch. It's called ReShade and you'll find it here. You will also need to download d3d8.dll and copy this file to your Grand Prix 4 installatioby Carl_gpgames - Grand Prix 4

amazing! best version of these cars i've seen so far!by Carl_gpgames - Grand Prix 4
Yes and it happens in reality as well; Alonso - Malaysia 2004 and in Belgium...we've seen as well what you've desribed: Belgium 2012 ...or Schumacher's start from last place in Suzuka 1998. Just to mention a few. And all of them took extremely high risks. Seriously, as i said, the AI is a bit defensive in GP4. But it's the same thing in other sim's as well (if the Aby Carl_gpgames - Grand Prix 4
Quoteroninho The ai is simply braking way to early for the first turn. It's as simple as that; If your the only one not breaking early for the first turn, you will crash into the other cars.by Carl_gpgames - Grand Prix 4
Quotejoselugo8690 Hi everyone, I'm new in this world of GP4 and I'm trying to download a mod, but the problem is my PC (P4, 1GB RAM, 256MB Video, Windows XPSP3) Some of you know a mod that you have played before and that runs like the original game does Especially post 2001 F1 season... Thanks in advance for the help! It's been 15 or more years since i had such a computer, soby Carl_gpgames - Grand Prix 4
i don't think it's unrealistic or a bug at all. sure, the ai behaviour is a bit defensive. but only because you are in a game and not in reality, you probably take much more risk to do the overtakes (you wouldn't do that in reality because you'd fear to crash and loose the race). compare it to games like rfactor 2 where you can set the aggresivity of the ai; if you set it toby Carl_gpgames - Grand Prix 4
looks absolutely stunning! is this a 3d steering wheel in the t-cam?by Carl_gpgames - Grand Prix 4
Microprose has just announced a couple of new games (including screenshots and videos). So they are obviously takeing it serious (which i didn't believe in the begining). It's strange, but we have never been closer (even though still very far away, probably...) to a sequel of the grand prix series since the shut down of the microprose studios back in 2003.by Carl_gpgames - Grand Prix 4
Hey Evroic You asked me recently to make such a sound set. Sorry that i didn't find time so far. But it's actually pretty easy (from a technical view - it still takes some time); Use a freeware tool such as Audacity and record your samples from a source like youtube (there are many formula e races available). In GPxPatch in the folder "snd" there is file called "soundby Carl_gpgames - Grand Prix 4
Updated version availabe at first post. - Deleted the silence in the beginning of some position change samples (the original idea was to prevent gpxpatch from cutting of samples when winning or losing more than 1 pos in a short time. but that didn't work out). - Added a new starting light sample (the previous one was nice, but sometimes when the lights went off very quickly, it was too lby Carl_gpgames - Grand Prix 4
So, here is the latest of my event sound sets. This time, we head back to the 1997 Formula 1 season and let revive the legendary Murray Walker! There are over 70 specific samples and also different samples for each position change. 100% of the samples are from actual 1997 Grand Prix's. Update at first post: - 1998 generic version added (may also be used for tracks from 1997 to 2000) - some minor improvements to the 2019 track specific versions. photo-realistic versions for all tracks will follow once i find time.by Carl_gpgames - Grand Prix 4
hello i'm suffering the issue with this (absoluetly great mod) that in some tracks, the cars aren't loaded with enough fuel. It seems like the "fuel settings" are still related to the original game track order. For example if you start a race in spa, it shows you got 17 laps of fuel tanked, but in fact the consumption is about 1.5 fuellaps per lap. this causes to AI to retiby Carl_gpgames - Grand Prix 4
