People criticised the new teams last year for being too slow but if you go back to the 80's, cars were regulary 10+ secs off the pace and no-one whinged about it being dangerous, and even in the mid 90's Minardi's, Tyrrells & Fortis etc were routinely 5-6 secs off the pace. I would quite happily go back to some of the older tracks, have more (and perhaps less professional) tby thestig88 - F1

Hi, I've just been trying the absolutely incredible engine sound pack by mitsuro sano and was wondering if there is a way of putting into a csm mod a way of choosing your engine sounds (i.e v8,v10 or v12) in the configurables section without having to manually change them in the folders?by thestig88 - Grand Prix 4
excellent effort! many thanks!by thestig88 - Grand Prix 4
Thought Martin Brundles debut as Lead Commentator was good, no heroics, just clear and concise although a lot of "erm's" but that will soon go as he settles, my prediction of a "discussion style of commentary" seems correct, DC's input was fantastic, his way of describing things in an easy to understand yet un-patronising way was great. plus i liked his (Brundleby thestig88 - F1
the tv graphics used to display the car numbers untill 2003 (excluding 2000 with the free-to-view coverage) which helped matters, but since the new graphics in 2004 they have been absent.by thestig88 - F1

Arrows tried something similar (although less garish) back in early 1999 with a T-minus + a daily counting down number towards a supposed big sponsorship announcement but come day 0 - nothing!by thestig88 - F1
An issue they have with gravel traps is, take Webbers flip for example, that when cars (single seaters) roll over the rollbar can dig into the gravel to the point where the drivers head becomes the rollbar, plus with the mandatory use of hans, it puts the drivers neck in a vulnerable position. Pedro Diniz found this out back at Nurburgring in 1999 fortuantly without injury.by thestig88 - F1
Absolutely Incredible! thank you so so much!!!! great work!by thestig88 - Grand Prix 4
i can't see them moving crofty over from R5L as he and Anthony are quite a cult hit, plus could the bbc get double ratings by having viewers watching bbc 1 and using the R5L audio feed?by thestig88 - F1

Apparantly according to an article on crash.net Legard is to be replaced with................David Coulthard! ~ That will be interesting to see / hear if its true, although we would lose the lead + co-commentator style we've had for years and have a more "discussion" style commentary.by thestig88 - F1
My views are that everyone has a right to an education, but in this country (UK) I'd say at least half of uni students go to uni for 3 years of partying and do a worthless degree alongside, its funny that they can afford to get drunk every night, plus when I was doing my job (I.T. Engineer) in a shoe shop in leeds, there were countless numbers of students quite happily blowing £150+ on a paiby thestig88 - Off-Topic
all i can say is, if red bull are quite prepared to throw away a championship just because its their least favourite driver in the hunt, then what the heck are they doing in F1? like BMW in 2008, as soon as they had met there objective for the year of a race win (Kubica - Canada) they then "switched off" for the rest of the year when they could have seriously been in with a title shot iby thestig88 - F1
just had to say what a difference it is playing gp4 with a joypad compared to a keyboard! i have just started using a PlayStation 2 type usb joypad with analogue controls, and as it disables the steering help and the cc-line which you get stuck on with the keyboard, im seconds faster on tracks now than when i used the keyboard! i can pass other cars in places i never could before, place the car wby thestig88 - Grand Prix 4
go into TSM, in "load tracks", select and load 1988.ini, you will see a progress bar of the tracks loading, when complete just start GP4 normally or via GPxPatch.by thestig88 - Grand Prix 4
