Its weird that in a normal car, I never feel inclined to use my left foot, and when I do I have no feel, and in a sim car, I have no feel when braking with my right foot.by Race_Monkey - Off-Topic

Thats done with helmet shapes, all the wheel shapes are the same, but they are textured to look different (it's part of the helmet texture) It's a good idea but it kinda falls down with things like the mclaren wheel, plus it doesnt rotate very much.by Race_Monkey - Grand Prix 4
it can be done using cinfo, but that didnt really look right and only worked in cockpit view.by Race_Monkey - Grand Prix 4

Might be the printer bug, try uninstalling your printer if you have one, if it works, I think there's a workaround. (I had this problem after I moved to uni, so I didn't actually have a printer, but it was still installed)by Race_Monkey - Grand Prix 4

Unfortunately the 11th team will always take part in practice and qualifying, but most mods will disable them for the race, i'm not sure about MP2005 though.by Race_Monkey - Grand Prix 4

The PS1 was great and had loads of good games, the PS2 wasn't quite as good in terms of games, but was shocking in terms of the build quality, my PS1 outlasted it.by Race_Monkey - Grand Prix 4
Yeah, the more I hear about the PS3, the more flawed I think it is. The hardware it uses is supposedly difficult to develop, and the blu ray drives and disks are still very expensive, and it lacks the kind of online support that the 360 has. I'm either going to get a 360 once they become suitably cheap or a Revolution if it turns out as cool as it sounds.by Race_Monkey - Grand Prix 4

Its got to be Mansell, he was a driver who just could not sit behind someone, and he's produced so many good manoeuvers: - Lapped 1s a lap faster than his (then) double world champion team-mate Piquet for 30 laps, then sells a dummy at 180mph to make the pass look easy. - Started mid pack at the Hungaroring and proceeded to win. - Wheel to wheel with Senna on the pit straight at Barby Race_Monkey - F1

I've been able to get a PO of about 70 with my P4 2.4, Geforce 4 128mb and a gig of ram. I'm running a full grid of 2005 cars, with 1024x1024 texures for cars with three or four textures, and 2048x2048 for cars with one. On the helmet front I run 512x128, but i'm going to give 1024x256 a try in 2006.by Race_Monkey - Grand Prix 4
I seem to remember from Jerez 1997 they actually do time to better than 1/1000th, but for some reason they couldnt use the 1/10000 to split Schuey, Jacques and Heinz-Harald.by Race_Monkey - F1
Yep muks, that was my interpretation of how it worked. Bear in mind that they could adjust the settings based on what track and corner you were at, so there would be different settings depending on the camber of the corner or how much the driver tends to use the kerbs etc.by Race_Monkey - F1
I find that the biggest killer is when you run all 22 helmets in 2048x512 resolution (which is what most people paint them in these days), try resizing them down to 1024x256 or 512x128.by Race_Monkey - Grand Prix 4
When you lock the rears up you lose much of the braking force to the rear tyres, which means that the front of the car is slowing faster than the front, and if you aren't braking in a dead straight line the back end of the car can "overtake" the front end. When you lock up the fronts then the front tyres are skidding along the road, so you can't turn the car. This is why brakeby Race_Monkey - F1
