The general consensus (amongst various F1 journos) is that "Multi 21" is code for "hold position, protect engines and tyres". Pretty much identical to what Ferrari used to do after the final stops. Sniff Petrol have their own interpretation:by senninho - F1
Hold on, are all of these things sudden changes that have never happened before? Fuel saving happened throughout the 80s and into the early 90s. Tyre management was only not a consideration when Ferrari levered Bridgestone into tyres that could be pushed hard for an entire stint. 2005 is an exception here. Team orders have *always* been around, apart from the few years in the 00s when they wby senninho - F1
Having watched some of the practice this weekend, I have to say I think I'm getting my money's worth. The commentary team have great chemistry, and I've enjoyed hearing Johnny Herbert during the practice sessions - he really does have an 'armchair enthusiast' vibe, and some of his throwaway lines were excellent.by senninho - F1

I've given in and ordered the special HD offer. I can live with £5 a month (for 6 months) for F1 and the additional channels.by senninho - F1
Jeez, sorry to hear about that :-/ I've recently split from my wife, and we are still living together, but we are at least on good terms. The problem will be getting our own places, as neither of us can afford a rental deposit...by senninho - Off-Topic

I actually went to see the Silverstone round of that! The cars looked and sounded pretty good, but the racing was a bit flat. Didn't help that Mansell's car broke down before the race even started.by senninho - F1

I'm not sure there'd be too much to the investigation - someone has already dug out a picture that clearly shows the green flag on the exit of turn 3: Where the flags and dashboard lights contradict one another, the rules give precedence to the flags. This was confirmed at an appeal in 2007: /edit: Another, more useful image:by senninho - F1

What an excellent thread - thanks for that post, Dan - this even hadn't even occurred to me. My first full race was Adelaide '94, having followed very sporadically since the events of Imola. Despite not really understanding any of the rivalries, I couldn't help but feel sorry for Damon as he sat in the pits with the car's suspension being prodded at. Found this after stumbling across the 'Ask Geoff' thread. He might not like to do interviews, but this is quite a good read - the subject of GP4 modding, forums, and comments about the GP series engine running 'on rails' are all mentionedby senninho - Off-Topic

Actually, Murray's commentary shows how far we've come in terms of trackside safety since '95 - "They'll have to push the car off; I can't see any problem..." If that had happened this year, the safety car would be out before the end of that sentenceby senninho - F1
