Oh that brings back some very clear memories! GP2 was such a great game. Shame it was delayed by about 6 monthsby Glyn - Grand Prix 4
Looking at the history of them updating the official sites I bet its the 21st. I can only hope and prey though. Ill be up on Friday waiting for the post man just in caseby Glyn - Grand Prix 4
I read the first few, and then got bored. Ah wellby Glyn - Grand Prix 4
F1 2002 is a mixed bag. Like you said the replays are terrible. The cars arent even in contact with the track and they move about like they are boats. The driving model is getting better though. Give them a few years and they might get there.by Glyn - Grand Prix 3
Whats the first thing ur gonna do with gp4? Unwrap it Seriously, install it. Ok, probably do what I always do. Set everything up and do a quick race at silverstone because that track never changes so I wont crash at the first turn (I hope)by Glyn - Grand Prix 4
Haha LOL That is pritty spot on, pure class!by Glyn - Grand Prix 4
LOL! Thats greatby Glyn - Grand Prix 3
I'd be very suprised if you could make them drive like rally cars. The cars will be programmed to drive in a straight line. I dont know a way of editing this kinda stuff, but I'd say you could try Colin McRae Rallyby Glyn - Grand Prix 3
I'd take me a week to read all that!by Glyn - Grand Prix 3
The one addon you need is the NO CD patch for any util to work really, and another recommended one is GPxPatch which does wonders for the game.by Glyn - Grand Prix 3
The one thing I didn't like about the demo is that on auto gears, the car will insist on not changing down. I'll be turning into tight corners in fourth gear, and the car will shift down on acceleration out of the corner. Odd. I noticed this too. Also when exiting a corner it wouldnt change up if the traction control was working, even if it was barly working. Very annoying. You'lby Glyn - Grand Prix 4
I think it would have to be more than reflections. If you look closly you can see the car model has been bend very very very slightly and those are tear marks. Lets hope the damage model goes far enough to model wheels comming off correctly so get come off when you scrape a wall rather than hitting it hard.by Glyn - Grand Prix 4
The full version of F1 2002 is much better than the demo. They have sorted a lot of stuff out, and the physics are even better now. It still acts strange sometimes, and you cant have a decent battle with the AI because they seem to ignor the fact you are there.by Glyn - Grand Prix 4
One area the GP series excells in is the feeling of grip. Ive yet to find another game that gives this impression, expically from the rear of the car. But I personally didnt think F1 2002 was all that bad really. They are getting better. It will be interesting to see what the FIA GT modders at Simbin can do with it.by Glyn - Grand Prix 4
v1 was amazing v2 was excellent v3 WOW. That is damn good!by Glyn - Grand Prix 4
Did you have it set in the game or in your NVidia control panel?by Glyn - Grand Prix 3
Haha... this was a classic post. I read the first line of the first post, and the first line of the last post. The topic had changed from F1 2001 Vs GP3 to England Vs Argentina LOLby Glyn - Grand Prix 3
I drive under my name and helmet If you are meaning 'you' as your head, then most people drive an F1 car under their helmet Sorryby Glyn - Grand Prix 3
My GF2 MX 400 worked fine, but my GF3 Ti500 does the same, and somebody else said his GF4 Ti4600 does the same again. Think your gonna have to wait till v4 my friendby Glyn - Grand Prix 3
I tend to drive the 2nd driver in a team, or the drive that is doing less well. Basically so it doesnt spoil the game as much. For example if your Schumi it aint gonna be as realistic to play as if your Barrichello.by Glyn - Grand Prix 3
(never post while drunk - the above is what happens) :|by Glyn - Grand Prix 4
beat this then:- £26.99!! Ok, I will. www.gameplay.com - £24.99 Thats where I ordered it fromby Glyn - Grand Prix 4
Thats good then. When you go above 25fps you cant see any higher FPS very easily, but its good knowing it'll always be going flat out.by Glyn - Grand Prix 4
In case you didn't know GP4 is released on the longest day. Which is a good thing. Why? Well. It means that there are more daylight hours, so you will never get the temptation that you should go to bed as early because its getting late and dark, and you've got work the next day (some people do work on Saturdays - mwhahahaha ). Also, when your wife wants you to come to bed, you can sayby Glyn - Grand Prix 4
I wouldnt say FSAA is all that important. From my experience on modern games even a GF3 Ti500 cant handle it with still keeping the FPS up. You really need a GF4. It does look a bit better though, but its not really all that noticable so I wouldnt put it high on my list. Unlimited FPS is a must really in modern times. Luckly, GP4 fills this feature.by Glyn - Grand Prix 4
Thats the one thing I like with Geoffs games. They dont require a high spec for them to look good. Also, they dont go jerky, they get slowdown which is better because you can still drive with slowdown. That F1 2002 pic above does look better, but I still think GP4 has more character to the graphics. Simple things like the shadows and the trees make it feel more realistic.by Glyn - Grand Prix 4
Yeah. Even if it could move 13 cars in a lap, that isnt realistic which defeats the purpose of the game really.by Glyn - Grand Prix 4
Hmm, I might just email them... it could well be possible. But the thing is, F1 cars can sometimes go through gravel traps, and drive out of them. Thats the bit I think would have to be coded into the game.by Glyn - Grand Prix 4
