Hmmn i tried both colours (and the pink colour used in the art files aswell) and none of them seem to work, they always show up on the car . If you could send me a bmp of an example car with transparency that would be greatly appreciated because I dont know what I'm doing wrong. Many thanks -Fincentby Fincent - Grand Prix 3
Nah i'm on about transparency in gp3-2000 not gp4...as far as i know, gp3-2000 doesnt have alpha channels or reflection surfaces (unfortunately). lol, i posted in the wrong forum by mistake...sorry to confuse you all and thanks for your help anyways smorr .by Fincent - Grand Prix 4
Hiya there Since the gp3 series games can only hvae 1 carshape for the entire field, the cars can all tend to look the same. I think it'd be cool to have aerodynamically different cars to set them all apart a lil bit. So i searched round n saw that you can use transparencies in your car designs...but i cant figure out how. lol, i know you have to paint them onto your car where you dont waby Fincent - Grand Prix 3

Theres still a few things I need to finish off with it (like a few missing driver pics and a proper performance file) but yeah I'll see what i can do and send it over to ya in the next few days .by Fincent - Grand Prix 3
I found this out when i was making a movie not jerky. Find out what your ingame framerate is and then render your video file with that framerate. Two different values will obviously cause jerkyness because the amount of frames dont match up in the end. Hope this helps -Finby Fincent - Grand Prix 4
Here are a few from my fictional carset: Hope you like them . -Fincentby Fincent - Grand Prix 3
I've been trying to make some carsets in the past few weeks for my own fictional use with some unique front wing design (i've tried many which i'll post images to when i upload them and edit this post, lol) but none of them have worked for me. lol, I personally think that your new front wing design looks awesome so could you send it to my email please? Many thanks -Fincentby Fincent - Grand Prix 3
Hi there Thanks for the link but it appears the file you linked me to only works for gp3 v1.13 and not GP3-2000 . I find this is the case with most of the editing when it comes to GP3-2000...extremely awkward to customise, lol. Do you think this is this intentionally done or just because programs get more complex with time? Thanks anyways though quickslick if anyone else has an idea then iby Fincent - Grand Prix 3
lol, thinking back a few years (ie. mid 90s) I would have thought that slicks would give you more grip and an advantage...why is it they're a bad thing to have all of a sudden? -Fincentby Fincent - F1
To be honest I think that Ferrari have been distracted over the winter. The psychological (spelling?) pressure of having all, or most, of the other teams in F1 pitted against them must have had some sort of effect and maybe it stopped their momentum. I hate to say this but I know that Ferrari will bounce back from their current bad spell...they always do no matter what situation they're iby Fincent - F1
I particularly like Heidfelds helmet when he was back at prost...2000 season I think? Another one that stands out for me is Eddie Irvines at Jaguar with the cool wild cat thing going on at the back of it, lol. To be honest though, any helmet can look good as long as it looks fast and Kimi's definitely gives that impression. -Fincentby Fincent - F1
Wow, those look great! :D It just amazes me how GP3 can still be made to look so realistic, lol, the graphics just keep getting better and better. Just curious now though but how do you get the visor section looking so real? When I try with shaded layers and stuff it just fails miserably, lol. -Fincentby Fincent - Grand Prix 3
Just a thought here but I was looking for the new(ish) Paul Ricard circuit to get some nice testing screenies for some new cars I'd painted but i couldnt find it anywhere . If someone could make this circuit (I remember there being a good version of it for GP2) then that'd be great! -Fincentby Fincent - Grand Prix 3
Hi there In my personal opinion I think a full distance race is great to watch on the tv as you have the full informative commentary and the actual human reactions to all sorts of unknown situations. However, watching GP3-2000 on a PC screen for 2 hours straight can become a bit of a bore so in an attempt to make it more interesting I thought it'd be a good idea to compact the whole sessiby Fincent - Grand Prix 3
If he does get this Williams drive then we'll all be able to know what he sounds like aswell, lol :p. I think he's the quiet underrated guy in F1 who just needs a decent car to prove his worth....always been that way since he joined F1 really. Good luck Nick! -Fin (and btw, no i'm not German, lol)by Fincent - F1
Here is a preview of my fictional testing track for anyone who is interested :by Fincent - Grand Prix 3
I can post a preview if anyone wants me to?by Fincent - Grand Prix 3
I would reccomend playing gp3-2000 as it has quite a few more geatures than the original GP3. Buut, if you are intending to mod the game then i'd definitely suggest the original GP3 because it is alot easier. I've only recently started modifying gp3-2000 and its alot more difficult, lol. You can download magicdata files from the "Downloads" > "Patches" sectionby Fincent - Grand Prix 3
Heya there Over the past few days I've been designing a fictional testing track to be used for my carset. However, I am completely hopeless at using the trackeditor, lol even with use of the tutorials so I was wondering if there is anyone out there who would be willing to make my track for me? I have made a fully detailed map (psp format, uses multiple layers) with everything I could thinby Fincent - Grand Prix 3
Nice one St.Hubbins *thumbs up*. I'll prolly have a go tonight and let you know my results.by Fincent - Grand Prix 3
Hmmmh Harjinator, when i try your method it just comes up with an error saying something about reading beyond the end of the file. lol, and i completely agree we do need a conversaion of GP3EDIT but I guess the main focus is on GP4 CC lines and everything at the moment :p lol. *confused*. I'm steadily working on these text files but still dont know what to use to get my BMPs to JAMs so the gby Fincent - Grand Prix 3
Many thanks TheSmokingPen! I will get to work on it as soon as I can and get manually editing those txt files. I take it you mean the "car.set" file that Gpxpatch uses? Also, my liveries are still in BMP format. What do you suggest I do to get them as JAM format? Is there a certain program that you reccomend for this job? Many thanks againby Fincent - Grand Prix 3
Hi I've been having problems using my car liveries in GP3-2000. I've made and used quite a few carsets for GP3 but when it comes to GP3-2000 i'm lost. I've used carsetcreator but that seems to mess up the game for me most of the time and I end up having to reinstall the game. But when I use gpx-patch I have problems aswell. In all honesty I think that renault will be the team to beat next year. They may not look super efficient now but I've been considering the rule changes for next season. Reduced aerodynamics, long lasting tyres, engine reliability etc. Renault probably have the best car (traction and grip wise) out there based on their performances at the high downforce tracks over the last few years. Also,by Fincent - F1
there could just be one paddle (or two but with the same function). So for example, the electronics would detect if the car was either accelerating/braking and then upshift/downshift accordingly.by Fincent - F1
Thinking back to hockenheim this year....I know i'm a button fan but wouldnt button have had the same auto shifting problem when he was holding his helmet?by Fincent - F1
Also think of it this way...since Rubens joined ferrari in 2000, schuey has won the championship everytime, coincedence maybe? naaa, just like irvine, barichello has never been allowed to gun for the championship because ferrari know who the best driver is. Sure, rubens is good on some days but he always has the bad luck in the team and somehow schuey escapes clean (most of the time, lol). Even tby Fincent - F1
