Brilliant drive by Nico - brilliant weekend altogether in fact. Now we know, if we didn't before, that he'd be a worthy Champion if he does manage to win it. This was truly a Champion's drive today. Resisting extreme pressure from Lewis and standing up to it. Not only that, but the timing of it is perfect for him - landing a psychological punch just before the title decider. Heby EC83 - F1

I've not noticed any problem with Ted myself, and haven't noticed any change in him as such either. Rubbing people up the wrong way is part of a pitlane reporter's job - get under their skin or wrongfoot them and they might divulge confidentialities in the heat of the moment that they weren't meaning to. I think he's been doing a great job. If you want to see provocatby EC83 - F1
Good. After an anonymous first half of the season he'd started developing into a really promising driver, and one who deserves a seat. It shows Sauber's future must be more secure now too.by EC83 - F1

It's a shocking situation really. Two teams go into administration within days of each other, Sauber and Lotus both struggling too and possibly Force India on top of that. Really not good. What's struck me is the suddenness of it, even if there have been signs of it floating about for ages. Two overriding feelings for me: What a sad ending for Marussia if they don't survive, andby EC83 - F1
Maybe. It wouldn't apply to future year-old cars though.by EC83 - F1
Jeez. We might end up with another 6-car United States GP at this rate.by EC83 - F1
Private teams running year-old ex-works cars would be a good idea, and that appeals to me more than three-car teams does. It would save on running costs compared to a team having its own new car and would probably open up a lot more seats to new drivers looking to land an F1 drive. Win win. Not sure if Bernie would approve it though.by EC83 - F1
It's a shame for the team and the drivers, particularly Ericsson, who's been making major progress and driving extremely well lately. It would be nice to think the situation will ultimately end well, like it did for Jaguar 10 years ago, which had even been put on Ebay at one point. This one is financially a touch worse though.by EC83 - F1
Reminds me of a timewarp "prediction review" made by Red Sam in late 2008 about the 2009 season, where he said it'd been great to see Schumacher back and Barrichello winning another race, but that Piquet was still a n00b. And that one turned out to be more accurate than anyone could've guessed!by EC83 - F1

Looks good from that mock-up. The more elevation changes and unusual track characteristics it can have, the better. A narrow track would add to the character of it too. Or they could cancel Azerbaijan and just have the race at Knockhill. :Pby EC83 - F1
Comment of the race for me: "Surely Rosberg, with his square front tyres, needs to give that place back." I've generally built up a tolerance to Martin Brundle's deadpan sarcasm and just smile at most of his comments, but that got a big LOL. :D I also liked his description of Nico's need to "coerce and massage" his 2nd set of tyres if he was going to make themby EC83 - F1

Yeah, it does look painfully bland. It doesn't have the hairpins Valencia does, but apart from that, yeah, there's a definite similarity(Not that I disliked Valencia, I've got to say). One thing that could help it as an event would be to make it a twilight race, as the organisers apparently want. I'm inclined to go along with the observation Martin Brundle made after Suzuka quali that Fernando has shot himself in the foot and missed the bus(or buses) for 2015, and if the comments of Christian Horner and Niki Lauda that same day are anything to by, he's not exactly in demand for the top teams either. If he can't get himself into the Macca seat, surely he'll be taking aby EC83 - F1
It doesn't look like a particularly dangerous track to me - certainly no more dangerous than Monaco or Valencia. The walls beside the track remind me of Korea, although it probably won't be as good, since it's as flat as a pancake.by EC83 - F1
I'll be interested. I'm always keen to check out a new venue, even if it's a Tilke track and therefore likely to be @#$%&. The politics of the country a race is held in makes no difference at all to me. I want to see F1, simple as that.
