His most recent Tweet(about half an hour ago) seems to say that MoviStarTV will be reviewing Alonso's year tonight, and that it's a good time for them to be doing it because tomorrow his signing by McLaren will be announced.by EC83 - F1
I'm hoping they've signed Alonso and Jenson personally. Certainly the protracted delay in the line-up announcement fits with an Alonso signing, it seems like too much of a coincidence to me anyway.by EC83 - F1
Probably the only season Webber realised his ultimate potential as a top driver was 2010(And to a lesser extent 2012). Before 2010 he hadn't reached his peak yet, and after it he was mainly overshadowed by Seb and the blown diffuser situation. Seb's still a class better than Piquet though, whatever happens in the future of his career. Piquet never dominated an era of F1, and most ofby EC83 - F1
Still thinking of him and wishing him the best. Obviously progress is likely to be slow, considering the nature of the injury, but hopefully he can wake up sooner than later. Fingers crossed. #ForzaJulesby EC83 - F1
Had a stonker of a pizza last night. 12" pepperoni covered in ketchup and mayo. With a can of Fanta. Lush. Would've taken a photo of it to post up, but forgot to. Next time maybe.by EC83 - Off-Topic
Going through my CD collection recently, I've found a few old DVDs of Lost which a friend gave me ages ago, so think I'll watch them soon on my new laptop. I did see a few episodes of it back in 2006 when me and some mates got together to watch it, but I never really got into it. Don't remember liking Magny-Cours much, but I have missed it though in a funny way. It got better towards the end of its run of GPs - I think the modifications to the final sector really improved it. Certainly the final complex, where Rubens cheekily overtook Trulli in 2004, was transformed - I hated the original Lycee and thought it ruined the flow of the track, and the changes made for 200by EC83 - F1
I like Korea. It's not one of the great tracks, but it's one of the better Tilkedromes. I like the street circuit feel of the 1st and 3rd sectors, and the fact it's quite technical and has a bit of gradient(OK, relatively speaking I know, but for a Tilke track it's always struck me as exciting. LOL). It's always seemed to produce good races too. I wouldn't mind ifby EC83 - F1
Martin Brundle: "Let's start a rumour and see how quickly it whirlwinds up and down that 400m of concrete down there. Button has bought Caterham, and will drive at himself, and will have a celebrity in the other car" LMAO!by EC83 - F1
New floor for Nico's car. Hopefully that doesn't cause any problems for him, the team look like they've made a nice job of changing it.by EC83 - F1
By the way, from watching re-runs of the Practice sessions - how small is Will Stevens?! He looks like he could be Ant's mini-me.by EC83 - F1

Not sure what you're meaning by that, but this can only be seen as a very disappointing season by Seb, even if the Red Sea parts and he pulls off a win this weekend. He can't even fall back on the excuse that he didn't have a winning car, since Ricciardo has emphatically demonstrated it is a winner in the right hands. He's just been flat-out pwned. ZOMG. The thing that surprised me was how long they took to announce it. Now I just hope Fernando will be in a McLaren Honda next year, that would be awesome. There's nothing coming up on Google News and Rubens hasn't mentioned it on his Twitter recently, so it probably won't be happening.by EC83 - F1
Call me naive, but I get the feeling F1 will survive this situation and things will ultimately get sorted out. Just a gut feeling I've got, nothing more. But we had crises in 2004 and 2009 which were arguably even more tense(In fact the atmosphere at the 2004 Brazilian GP was extreme), and they were forgotten pretty quickly. The FISA/FOCA dispute in the early 80s was much worse than this, anby EC83 - F1
Kinda like Martin Brundle with Fisichella really. He kept having sarcastic digs at him - not every race, but over time they were numerous. The first one was in the very F1-ITV race at Melbourne '97, when Fisi(Who'd taken Brundle's old Jordan seat) spun off(Ironically at Turn 3) and Martin seemed to suggest Jordan should've kept him on instead of hiring Fisi. The fact he said &by EC83 - F1
Which was ridiculous from Hunt, since it was him and not Patrese who actually put Peterson in the barrier(Not that anyone should be blamed for that one, it was a pure tragic accident). Think Hunt's attitude towards Patrese was actually love/hate rather than a pure dislike. He definitely made some bitchy comments about Patrese(mainly in the later years from what I can see), but he also saidby EC83 - F1
As an additional bit to the craziness(And has been pointed out on Sky several times, and Bernie even acknowledged it himself in an interview earlier this year), the GP2 crew, who run on a tiny fraction of the budget of the F1s, have been lapping within a few seconds of them this year. There's a solution to the problem in there somewhere, but because it would involve people swallowing their pby EC83 - F1

Bernie's brain definitely isn't working as well as it used to, and it can only be a matter of time now before he either stands down or dies(And I get the impression he's got no intention of ever standing down). He'll be working from the same basic ideas for running the sport that he's worked from for many years, and recently they've become more and more out of touchby EC83 - F1

I guess he just rubs me up the wrong way with his general manner. Dave was the same when he was posting here too. Guess both of us have a low tolerance for certain character traits James seems to show. Maybe a combination of that and an unfortunate situation where he might not be smug or smarmy at all, but unintentionally comes across on TV as being those things.by EC83 - F1
Australia 1989 Not seen this one for years either. A nice surprise. The V10 Hondas sounded glorious here. Whether it was the revs, the wet conditions, the acoustics or a combination of everything, they sounded brilliant. James Hunt criticising Martini for racing the Williams and not letting them past was a bit silly IMO, a race is a race and all that. "He is going to absolutely cby EC83 - F1
I listened to the 2013 Hungarian GP on 5 Live as the BBC weren't showing it live and I didn't have Sky yet at that point. He didn't annoy me as much, no, but I was concentrating on what was supposedly happening in the race and trying to paint a picture of it in my head, so paid less attention to the commentary itself. That 2011 season was epic, and probably only the Murray/Martin years were better. It annoys me that that partnership only lasted one season, it had the potential to develop even better over time.by EC83 - F1
Brazil 1991 Caught this one on Sky on Saturday night, and it's been stuck in my head ever since. Partly because the VHS the original recording was taped on got chewed up by a faulty VCR after a couple of years, and for whatever reason I've never really watched it properly since.
