Yep, great performance from Fernando, shows again the good progress they're making - especially since they're a step up again from China after just a week. Looking forward to this one. Since Bahrain was moved to the later time to create the sunset race, it seems to have a better feel to it to watch here in the UK at least. I've always liked evening races. Whether it was that, or the exceptionally good race last year leaving a good memory, I dunno. But I sense this could be juicy. I hope Nico can sort himself out, shut up complaining, stopby EC83 - F1
I'm surprised no one has mentioned Maldonado's SatNav yet. I feel for him, he was doing alright till that cocked up. Talking of Maldonado, Jenson's contact with him was the funniest incident I've seen in F1 for a while. An excellent boomf*. It was a shame he got penalised at all really, considering that. Macca had a much stronger showing this weekend altogether, their qby EC83 - F1
So far Alonso has managed to complete every single racing lap in China, starting in 2004. A pretty staggering achievement really. Since it'll be under massive threat in this race with the unreliability and slow pace of the current Macca, I thought I'd give it a quick mention while it's still intact.by EC83 - F1
Just came here to make a thread, but you'd just done it!! Grazie, Grazie, GRAZIE!!!!!!! Ayeeeeeee, Forza Laton! I'm kinda looking forward to this race. The view on the opening lap or two down the back straight, when the full fuel load is sitting the cars down, should be really something. There could be some epic sparking reminiscent of Spa 1992. Would be ideal if it's a dull daby EC83 - F1

FORZA SEB!!! Brilliant! I'd hoped he and Ferrari would win a race or two this year, never thought it would happen quite this soon though. This, plus his podium in Melbourne, should be enough to convince anyone who thought he needed the RedBull environment around him to do well that they were wrong. Awesome drive! I don't think it was that bad a race though. Considering how few cars there were, and how dominant the Mercedes were, I thought we got a decent amount of action. As season openers go, 1998 was much more boring than this, and Macca had a bigger advantage at Melbourne than Merc currently do, but we got a pretty good season after that. In hindsight that's an awesome post. I might need to start being more careful about this stuff. We all know about the commentator's curse, but I wasn't aware of a "random Internet forum poster curse". Oopsy.by EC83 - F1

Shame about Bottas not racing, although he did look pretty sore after quali. This will be an insanely small grid.by EC83 - F1
i'm glad they finally moved the graphics to the edges of the screen, as it looked odd them being inset just to accommodate ancient 4:3 displays that virtually no-one is still using these days (sorry EC83). you should have an option to view the full widescreen display using a "letterbox" setting, so you will have black bars top and bottom but at least you will see the full width ofby EC83 - F1
The TV graphics have just been given a routine update I think. They'd been basically the same since 2010(if not earlier), it's never stayed the same for more than a few years before so I guess they saw this as being the right time for a reboot. Driver numbers will probably get added in due course. It confused me a bit too, I keep looking for the clock at the centre top of the screen duby EC83 - F1

Yeah. Ericsson and Nasr are in the garage but apparently the team has no intention of sending either out this session. Van der Garde isn't even being made welcome anywhere near the team.by EC83 - F1

Hmm, good point - I'd not thought of including actual drivers, but guess it would be wrong not to! I'd never taken much notice of Carmen Jorda, knew the name but only from unimpressive-looking GP3 drives. I'll be paying her a bit more attention from now on.
