Off-Topic According to Autoblog , Spyker are looking into buying Lotus from Proton.
It's a big leap from the article, but I wonder if this could see a return of Lotus to F1 as a rebrand of the Spyker team? I doubt it, and I hope they don't, as I'd not want to see the Lotus name returning just to be at the back.

That's what I was thinking. I hope he does give it a semi-serious go, as it's always a bit of a let down to see something like a modern F1 car not driven to its capabilities.
And yes, I hope it gets on youtube, as it should be fairly

F1 There are samples already available, and the games aren't far behind. I'm quite happy with the fact that its still the fastest DX9 card available too

Off-Topic Yes, I did "dare" you to get the HSF, but clearly its an awesome piece of machinery. Shame you didn't go for a really awesome graphics card. The 8800GTX is awesome at running C&C3 at 1920x1200 at full graphics

F1 I don't think I've laughed that hard before. Easily the best top gear ever, and that is saying something.

Off-Topic And speaking of driver, I was playing the PC version of Driver1 with a pad earlier and it really works well, even if it looks quite old with a big resolution. I forgot how much fun (and insanely oversteery) the driver 1 cars were. I'd still take driver PL's handling over it though

Other Games Shader model 3 is a graphics shader standard. The 9600 doesn't do SM3, i think its only SM2 compatible. Its up to you if you upgrade or not, but you'll find more and more games requiring it.

Off-Topic I've used it a few times, mainly for generating skyboxes for my uni projects. I haven't come close to getting that sort of quality out of it, but then I only loaded it up, played around with a few values and then rendered it. It is awesome though :D

Off-Topic I happen to really enjoy Driver: PL too I sometimes find myself just driving around for the fun of it. Getting cops to chase me and then just seeing how long I can keep the car in one piece. It is a big step up from D3 in many ways too numerous to list, even if most of them are bug fixes

Off-Topic That's the most atrocious piece of driving I've seen in a while. I don't know one driver in any of the leagues I've competed in who would ever treat a collision like this as anything other than an accident. But then to actually react to this in such a way is a display of immaturity I've not seen outside of infant school.
I still don't understand the video. From th

Off-Topic Well, yes, perhaps lucky to roll on the grass rather than tarmac, however the car only rolled because it went onto the grass and the tyres dug in. I reckon it would have rolled to a halt if it had stayed on the tarmac.

Off-Topic The roll-over hoop was cut off to get him out, as it completely surrounds the head on that car, so to remove him carefully it had to be removed.

Off-Topic I'm a little suprised that it wasn't designed for the jet to break off in a crash, as i'm sure most of the weight is there (and the rest of the rear) like in an F1 car. The important bit is the monocoque where the driver is.
Looking at the images and using my non-existant knowledge of jet powered cars, and how they say it happened when he pulled the chute, i'd say there was
