Yeah, I'll try sending them again...its strange cos I checked in MS Paint and they looked fine Cheersby chris - Grand Prix 4
Mike, you'll easily get 800x600x16 with that, no probsby chris - Grand Prix 4
I know what you mean...I can't play cockpit either, has to be T-cam.by chris - Grand Prix 4
Yeah, I was thinking it was all a little low considering your specs...maybe the 2x FSAA is unecessary? I thought it slowed it all down horribly? Probably I'm wrong.by chris - Grand Prix 4
But Cai, I have REAL issues in the race. (gfxcard:"What more than one car?! Dying......aggghhh!!!" fizzzz) Nice in free practice though. Cai, is your pitcrew set to highest? If you havent you should because it is stunning! Autocalibrate said low, but it looked awful. So now its on highest.by chris - Grand Prix 4
Your right Cai. My 350mhz beast of a pc only really struggles in menus. My 8mb gfx card is also fine on 1024 by wosname.by chris - Grand Prix 4
I knew there was a sinister motive behind this whole thread, just couldnt translate your 'legitimate gp3' coding.by chris - Grand Prix 3
I'd say the GF2 Ti is pretty close, but GF4 mx has more features and is cheaper. Its a personal preference.by chris - Grand Prix 4
Anyway with my 98mb of SDRAM I'll give it a go....and it did seem to help. I just ran gp4 @ 1024xsomething with high most stuff but reflections etc off at 15 fps with 350mhz and 8mb gfx card! I'm happy. Screenshots to follow soon...it was beautiful. (I can barely run gp3 2000 @ 800x600)by chris - Grand Prix 4
Maybe not all 'real gamers' have that much money.by chris - Grand Prix 4
I've started 8 times, and had 7 black flags. Its not going well.by chris - Grand Prix 4
Yeah, thanks. I'll do that now. Mike, I'll send you them too.by chris - Grand Prix 4
Jarvi, I don't really think you can have full details at the moment. But, with the GF4 Ti4600 you could. This graphics engine is brand new, and gfx card dependant, not so CPu dependant as GP3 was. for eample I've a 350mhz and it works. You could run it top resolution easily, but whether with all details, I don't know (CPU will bottle neck the gfx card's speed.)by chris - Grand Prix 4
Morbid, just downloaded Hare 1.5. Are you sure its safe to wash your memory like this? Nothing is stored in it that HAS to stay there? I need any help I can get to make gp4 run nicer!by chris - Grand Prix 4
From what I understand the Kyro chipset is somewhat inferior to the Nvidia. The GF2 is a good price there, but its a little outdated, and would have trouble with GP4 As said above, the GF4 MX series is not as good as GF3, but much better than the GF2 MX cards. "Best to avoid Geforece 4 MX cards because they really are not that " That's just not true. These cards are good, fby chris - Grand Prix 4
Try printscreen, that's all I know.by chris - Grand Prix 4
If you can tell me somewhere where I can get webspace to put some pics on I will, also I'll email you a couple during my lunchbreak. Chris Jby chris - Grand Prix 4
GP4 is superb, that much we know. But how does it run on a slow system? Well (Spikeman, pay attention) listen up. I just got it working rather well on my p2 mmx matrox G200 8mb agp 98mb SDRAM system. Having performed a brief mind-meld during the auto graphics calibration, I was suprised at its results. 16fps@800x600(x16) This may seem measly compared to the latest gigahertian monsters,by chris - Grand Prix 4
Yeah, that is cheap, but still its £120. But a much better card.by chris - Grand Prix 4
So therefore neither company would release such info, one of the games would be categorically and undeniably 'worse' than the other. I know which one would win, too..by chris - Grand Prix 3
OK here's a basic motherboard. See the long brown slot to the right of the three PCI ports? You should have this. The 4cm one just sounds too small...by chris - Grand Prix 4
NO NO NO NO NO. You really need a 64mb card, not just for gp4, but most games....unless its a top 32mb one like GF2 GTS, but TNT2s a quite old. If you can, stretch to a GF2 Ti or GF4 MX420/440. Really, it'll pay dividens later on.by chris - Grand Prix 4
That's confusing. So what's your TNT2 in? If it says AGP that's where it is. Find your TNT2, and there's your agp. I upgraded in 1998 and I've got one, so I'm sure you do.by chris - Grand Prix 4
MEGAPOST-MAN has returned! We can now sleep safer, knowing the children will be protected.by chris - Grand Prix 3
Only one problem really...your proccessor will limit the gfx card, ie the card could handle games in 7 months time, but your proccessor could not. That said, its worth buying.by chris - Grand Prix 4
upload it to some webspace, then link to it eg then put after itby chris - Grand Prix 3
It would, because gps can map exact layout and elevation too, which is why suzuks is so dramatically different through the esses.by chris - Grand Prix 4
