plz check the PLZ HELP thread and follow the instructions regarding the use of gpx_patch. It may be useful to youby Gusto - Grand Prix 3
The solution to your forced exits can only be found in debug mode with gpx_patch. If you are not already using the patch please download it from this site and enable debug, log assertions, verbosity high. This will set gpx_patch to write an error log to the gpx_patch dir. If you do not understand the contents of the log post its contents to the SDI forum, a link to the gpx_patch home page is in tby Gusto - Grand Prix 3
like I said, it's all a matter of opinion and personal tasteby Gusto - Grand Prix 3
Latest monaco, all the updated real tracks, particularly those by Bruno Gourdo. The Berne-Grauholz, Park Lane, Adelaide are must haves. It's all really a matter of opinion and personal taste really. I have over 100 tracks and I expect many other users would as well .by Gusto - Grand Prix 3

Good graphics, realistic looking tracks, (Eastern Creek and a couple of others are not included as they have been licenced elsewhere), the game momentarily locks when taking a screenshot which is dumped to the game dir in tga format. There is no replay function. The controller calibration is virtually non-existent and values must be added manually making it a difficult task, handling is difficultby Gusto - Grand Prix 3
the default installation directory is c:/program files/microprose/ etc. etc. not c:/gp3. You should be able to set the correct path when setting up the patch, there should be an address slot or maybe even a browse button to allow you to set the specific path, I use gp32000 addon and I no longer have the patch version installed so I am unable to confirm this for you 100% As I said before you mustby Gusto - Grand Prix 3
There is what appears to be six buttons on the face of the wheel, one of these should be the fire button, if not then the wheel is not configured correctly in windows, refer again to windows/control panel/controllers/ and check the wheel is installed correctly, has been calibrated and the control buttons configured. This reference may be useful, there is info on the buttons etc.by Gusto - Grand Prix 3
the patch needs to see the ORIGINAL executable from the gp3 cd, perhaps you do not have this in place, would this be the case? Please use the capslock key, THIS IS CONSIDERED SHOUTING!by Gusto - Grand Prix 3
what are the correct tags for this and are they used in the signature window? TIAby Gusto - Grand Prix 3
most important: the wheel must first be visible in windows/control panel and display an ok status in the controller properties dialogue box. The primary fire button is usually on the front facia of the wheel, windows/control panel/controller options should display this. In gp3 or gp32000 set "use control driven calibration" If the install of the official patch fails maybe your gp3 instaby Gusto - Grand Prix 3

an excellent thread, boba, look no further than this forum for a good dose of irony and sarcasm Anyway I will differ on 2, some of the the gp3 physics editor file changes alters all cars. 4, use the jam editor, export to and import from new canvas bmp's, resave the jam file, there is a jam id list available or as Vader suggests use the rh2002 carset, rush out and get it now if you havenby Gusto - Grand Prix 3
nice cars when will we see the pitbabes?by Gusto - Grand Prix 3
gp3 does not particularly like voodoo 3, there is some voodoo info in the faq that may help, and a look in the search archive wouldn't hurt either, good luckby Gusto - Grand Prix 3
the official patch makes changes to your registry as well as updating the wheel config and some other issues, it's a good idea to run the patch twice as the first time it runs it does an uninstall, the second time it will install itself correctly. After the succesful patch install substitute the exe for the no-cd exe from this site. This should do it for you. If this fails (which it really sby Gusto - Grand Prix 3

perhaps you have loaded a hardware track and your system is running in software mode. you could try set gpxpatch to debug mode and to log assertions. post the contents of the error log to the gpxpatch forum, a link to the gpxpatch home page is in the html help files. good luckby Gusto - Grand Prix 3
No need to decrypt the exec yourself, download the already decrypted no_cd exe from this site. This exe is the basis used for all editors/patches etc. Rush out and get it nowby Gusto - Grand Prix 3
Nifty Nev, I don't believe anyone has made a preview bmp for Phillip Island yet. New track installs do not generally alter the default track menu display, there are of course some notable exceptions such as the sepang and canada release updates which have upgraded menu bmp's available. I prefer to use team and pit-babes instead of track load screens Anyhow seein' as it's philby Gusto - Grand Prix 3
