Thanks mate... now I've found it... was right under my nose! Duh!by Prblanco - Grand Prix 4
jpmfw, where did you get those worn-looking tyres? I've been searching them like crazy!by Prblanco - Grand Prix 4
Real Jerez: 4427.995 meters My Jerez: 4430.776 meters My track is 2.781 meters longer than real track... a difference of 0,06%... pretty accurate huh?by Prblanco - Grand Prix 4
Sorry! 635 are the coordinates of the horizontal surface... so it's actually half of its size... sorry Correcting: with terrain turned off, with eye altitude of 200 m, photos taken from Google Earth have the following proportions on 3DEditor: photo 4096x4096 -- horizontal surface 1270x1270 photo 2048x2048 -- horizontal surface 635x635 and so on...by Prblanco - Grand Prix 4
Well, I don't know for sure because I use marianodc's setups... but if I were to insert magic data from original GP4 tracks, I'd put Montreal's magic into Shanghai and Barcelona's magic into Istanbul. If these don't satisfy you, you can always edit the magic filesby Prblanco - Grand Prix 4
Well, glad you found your mistake And about magic data, yes, it is highly recommended to insert it from GP4. If you don't insert it and put Melbourne in slot 15 (Monza), CCs will use 4/3 wing setupby Prblanco - Grand Prix 4

Let me guess... the template is Yohan's F12005! Oops that was written over there The car looks very nice indeed... I'm trying to contact Yohan to get permission to use his cars in a mod I'm building for a racing league I take part in... but I've got no reply yet... he simply dissapeared!by Prblanco - Grand Prix 4
I had posted a photo with the coordinates in the last post... the link to the image is fixed now. Well, I used Google Earth pictures to make Jerez, I'll explain how I did it. First, in Google Earth, I disabled terrain elevations and went closer until eye altitude was 200 m. Then I saved lots of photos (40 I think) from this altitude from all parts of track, and put them all together in aby Prblanco - Grand Prix 4
I've found the track in Google Earth if anyone is interested...by Prblanco - Grand Prix 4
Hello again, Laurent, a little question: do you plan to insert a feature that creates graphical "best line" from cc-line data?by Prblanco - Grand Prix 4
Whoa! How many questions ! I don't use CSM, but maybe if you insert the Mod, exit without restoring and enter the game next time using GPxPatch, you can use slot-independent tracks. I'm not sure though, ask Tony You inserted GP4Info correctly (just when you said "adjective": "otrodom"... it would display "otrodom grand prix" ingame the correct would bby Prblanco - Grand Prix 4
Well, somehow your anim.wad file got corrupt, and for some unknown reason GP4 couldn't access the .anm files, even though they were there. Then I rebuilt your anim.wad using the .anm files from my .wad, and it enters track normally now. The rebuilt .wad is here: Hope it works for you. Just a thing... I keep getting crashes if I press Esc on qualify sessions with your files, the samby Prblanco - Grand Prix 4

Schaller's track is about 600 meters shorter than real track.by Prblanco - Grand Prix 4
Well, see if you can host the files in rapidshare or some similar place. Don't forget to compress then inside a .zip or .rar file. Ok?by Prblanco - Grand Prix 4
Camacho, you can send me the track's .wad, track .dat file and anim.wad to my mail so I can see what's wrong. Mail to paulorblanco@hotmail.comby Prblanco - Grand Prix 4
Yes, I have made these steps, I downloaded Istanbul just to do it... it runs well, I'm using it in slot 12. If the game crashes after the loading is complete, there's a great chance it's because a problem in the anim.wad, so please check if the interlagos2001.anm file is there, and all other original .anm files must be there too (melborne2001, sepang2001, imola2001...)by Prblanco - Grand Prix 4
The track is great, I hope the bugs will be fixed soon. I found it wonderful to drive, but turn 8 is turn 8... and I got off track three laps in a row... in the fourth I hit the wall ... it's a real pity that track length differs so much from the real oneby Prblanco - Grand Prix 4
Let's see... all "interlagos2001" were renamed to "istanbul", and now the game crashes in all tracks? So check one thing, when you edited anim.wad, you made a copy of the file interlagos2001.anm and renamed it instanbul.anm, right? Because GP4 needs both interlagos2001.anm and istanbul.anm, so check if both are there. And no .col file? Strange, I downloaded two versionby Prblanco - Grand Prix 4
No problem, I have already hired you as one of the beta testersby Prblanco - Grand Prix 4

marianodc, look here: The files you need to rename are listed in first step, you can follow the other ones to make the track "slot-independent"by Prblanco - Grand Prix 4
A little tutorial on this (there should be about 10 posts telling you to search after I finish writing this ). I'll explain using Shanghai as an example, which comes to replace A1-Ring. You'll need Easywad (or GP4Master) and CMagic. IMPORTANT: By doing this, you'll change track's checksum, and the changed .dat file won't be eligible for ANY online racing league. Yes I do race there, class B. Not with good results thoughby Prblanco - Grand Prix 4
I took a small break on my studies to work on track magic data. CC setups have already been chosen, their best laptimes so far are 1:19.0 on qualify and 1:20.9 on race, with original GP4 physics. (For reference, best laps at '97 race were 1:21.0 for qualify, 1:23.1 for race; unofficial track record is Michael Schumacher's 1:15.6 with a F2004) Track grip is ok, I only need to adjust fuelby Prblanco - Grand Prix 4
Lo2k, could you please look at the infinite error I get when deleting an object's part? I don't know if that happens always, haven't tested enough.by Prblanco - Grand Prix 4
Wait a minute... I'm the team's test driver! Then it means...by Prblanco - Grand Prix 4
A quick question... how do I determine which sectors stay dry even at a wet race, like happens at Monaco tunnel and below bridges? I got a small dry section at Jerez' back straight but there are no objects there...by Prblanco - Grand Prix 4
Sorry to bother, MDBSnake, are you still working on Pizzonia's?by Prblanco - Grand Prix 4
